ROTS Levels (Spoilers)

    Anakin's Knighthood is decided upon after his involvement nit he Battle of Praestylin, which was only months before Episode III in the book Jedi Trial. The Clone Wars are cute but for EU, they don't always observe continuity.

    There is a three year gap between Episodes II and III. By your logic, the Clone Wars up to Chapter 22 (approx) covers less than a year, then the last three chapters cover the rest of he time.


    Yes thats correct.
    But even if you don't think the Clone Wars are canon, and Anakin was knighted in Jedi Trial, he still didn't have to be a level 7 Jedi Guardian.
    He could be knighted at 8, 9, 10 or 11...

    You could always rule that Anakin's rebirth into Vader was like getting ressurrectted in D&D. That causes a level loss due to the turnoil of dragging your spirit through the astral plane and slamming it back into a body. Anakin could *feasibly* have an experience like that being born into his "more machine the man" phase. Just a thought.

    However, there is the line from GL in the commentary for "Making EpII" where states, "The difference is Anakin is more powerful, but Obi Wan has more experience". A rather literal translation which has nothing to do with game mechanics, I admit, to holding Anakin to 13th lvl or so.

    one thing though, vader's int, wis and cha dropped a point each after the duel, why's that? :p and didn't Anakin have the Rage feat?

    I don't know why they dropped. But using the age modifers and the Anakin stats (ep.II) and the Vader stats (ep. IV) from the RCRB this is what happens. It would also, along with the weakened Force Points because of artificial limbs, account for Vader descrease in power.
    The Rage feats would be gained later if these are to match up with the stats already out there. I worked really hard to make it all fit together.

    I think dooku might need 6d8 lightsaber damage. He's at 5d8 form his jedi levels, and i think he gets another increase lightsaber damage at sith lord level 2.

    I think r2's stats need to be redone. We now know he doesn't get his memory wiped. This means that r2 has participated in almost all of the major events in the star wars universe for about 60 years as of the end of the njo, and he's still only level 7?

    According to the RCRB he has 5d8, but you are right. Anyway, I just used what the book said and udated from that. It didn't go through all the stats to see if the WotC made any mistakes :)

    I know it's hard to believe that a person of his stature and character could possibly tell a lie, but a very, very small group of people out there are under the impression that he's something of a fraud.
    I know he couldn't be because he's the close personal friend of Lucas and has tons inside info to prove it. I also love his critically acclaimed documentaries which DO EXIST!
    The world needs more people like him!

    Did anybody else miss Supershadows role of Nebar Foxis, the brave Jedi Master who defeats Anakin in the Jedi temple before he is shoot in the back by a clone trooper? :)

    So he gained 2 levels in Sith Lord in the time it took for Sidious to name him Vader and to walk to the temple?!? How does that work?

    aye i thought that was odd...

    I assume cutting mace's hand off and then his death bought his first level...

    I assumed the second came from taking out the temple (the jedi there, while not fantastic, would have provided quite a bit of experience, especially due to numbers), and the fight with kenobi... while he ultimately lost, would have given some... (i think those stats were pre-obi fight though, so bugger)

    Maybe it is similar to a Paldin/Antipaladin situation? That is to say that perhaps a Jedi can trade in one or more ranks as a Jedi and convert them to Sith levels?

    Edit: Antipaladin? Yikes, I am showing my age... I meant to say Blackguard.

    Yeah, I think that's what Gary did. Anakin probably was a Lv. 12 hero, and then traded in a final level in Jedi Weapon Master for a single level in Sith Lord. He might then have gained the second lv. in Sith Lord through his attack on the Jedi Temple (the character would have still gained the Xp from his fight with Count Dooku and his guards prior to this, bringing him close enough to the next level that his actions in the temple would have been adequate).

    Yeppers. Although according to Sarli, you can also trade levels in Jedi PrCs as well. In this case, Anakin traded a level in Jedi Ace for Sith Lord, and then he "levelled" again after the Temple Massacre.
