Calgary ROTS one more time in costume.!!! FanForce Weekend!

Reading on the fanforce section I came across this story.

Join your fellow FanForcers and SW fans across the world in an effort to boost Revenge of the Sith's standings at the box office. Head out to your local theatre any showtime between July 29th-31st. Tell all your friends and family too! Make a group event out of it or go individually. Let's show them that the Force is with the fans and that we can make a difference.

I'ed go but I don't own a costume but this would be a great fanforce event. Getting the fans back out to see the film before it leaves the major theaters awesome idea.

I was thinking Saturday night. I usually have to work Friday nights. Hopefully its still playing at a good theather and we won't be at the movie dome.

 

Either day works for me just tell me which theater and what time.

 

We might be out of luck by next weekend. Upon checking showtimes (up to Thursday the 28th), only Paramount Chinook and Coliseum down south are the only two theatres showing ROTS. That may change next Friday. We'll have to keep an eye out next week, but I think it's on it's way out.........

 

I'm sure Dr.Haggis and I will be able to make it. Like Echoseven said, we'll have to wait till the Friday before to know what showtimes are playing...

Whether it's in a "good" theatre, or in the cheap theatre, I think it would be a blast, especially to go in costume again.

 

Sounds like a blast! When shall we go?

 

Mr Smith and I will keep our eyes on the board for potential times. It would be fun to come out if it fits the schedule.

I remember I went to a similar day in Seattle one month after Episode I come out - they actually had quite a turn-out.

sounds cool maybe my wife and I will come as well. I might even wear my jedi robes lol.

 

We'll have to wait to find out which theater is still playing ROTS this weekend. But it'll be a blast with everybody out in robes again.

 

lol and me in mine with you guy for the first time. I'll miss my sandtrooper gear but I can't sit in it.

 

Just got the weekly listings from Canyon Meadows for July 29 - Aug 4. ROTS is NOT listed, so it looks like we'll be seeing it at Chinook or Coliseum.
Are we meeting for an evening show? An afternoon show would work better for me as it's my mom's b'day and we're doing the dinner thing. I really don't want to miss out on a group outing!

 

These are the times that EIII is showing at Chinook on Saturday:

12:40pm, 3:50pm, 7:15pm, 10:20pm

Looks like Paramont Chinook is the only place in town showing ROTS saturday. So what time are we all going at.

I think we should go for the 10:20 show and do a mock line up. Get there like at 9:15 or so and line up.

But if its to late then 7:15 is fine.

So what's everybodies vote I vote for either of the later shows. Might not be much of a crowd so it would be like a private screening for the hardcore fans.

 

I could do the late showing(10:20) as I work until 9:00PM. If you would rather do an earlier show thats OK.

 

I'm in for the late show too - dinner would be over by then!

Unfortunately, I am working Saturday night.
