Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" is the first "Star Wars" tale to receive a PG-13 rating. The movie was screened for reporters Tuesday night at Lucas' Skywalker Ranch, and the PG-13 rating -- "for sci-fi violence and some intense images" -- is well-deserved.

The action is relentless and includes sequences more dark and disturbing than anything previously seen in the tragic Skywalker soap opera.

    ...and so on...

I agree with the PG-13 rating. My sons won't be seeing ROTS for a few years. Heck, it kinda made me uneasy even. (You know which part I mean.)

My son wants to see this film so bad, I am still pondering about it.

I say I want to see it before Aiden, BDZ says it doesn't matter - he's taking him.

So, since I'll be the one up all night with him, what "part" do you mean?

Well, every kid is different. A close friend related that he just took his daughters to see ROTS. The oldest, age 10, had to leave the theatre multiple times as the action at times was too intense for her. The youngest, age 7, loved the whole movie and wasn't phased by any of it -- he thinks she's a true sci-fi fan (genetic, no doubt).

I know that my oldest son would sit through the movie without problem but would have trouble sleeping for following several days.

In other news, I see that the upcoming Mustafar playset includes Anakin and Obi-Wan figures. May as well make your toy collection PG-13 too.

    (SPOILER - highlight to read)
Of course you'll want an Anakin that has removable legs and arm so you can recreate the great ending.

Definitely too much for kids I think, but I will not pass my judgement on others. I think Zach would be fine with it, I just don't think he should see it.

    I love the playsets

I think if kids can watch Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom they can watch ROTS.

That's a fair relation. ToD has a fairly gruesome scene as well.

On that note, I am looking foreward to the new Indiana Jones movie. I hope the script is a good one.

I agree with you Ntobin, of course that is why my little ewok has only seen Raiders of the Lost Ark, and I will say didn't care for it.
