FF:NZ ROTS trailer

There's a thread in the Ep3 spoiler forum -

entitled 'confirmed NZ trailer release date' in which someone claims to have contacted a cinema and received a reply that the ROTS trailer will be screening in NZ from Nov 18, but they don't know what film it will be attached to.

It's online Nov 4th for hyperspace subscribers, Nov 8th for all.

 

10 bucks says kazaa will have it on the 4th too

 

Really looking forward to this. Heard some interesting things (rumours) about the way it ties in to the Original Trilogy.

 

The trailer *itself*, or the movie? Because, of course the movie will tie things into the OT , how can a trailer only a min or two at the most tie too much together? ?

The trailer...I didn't mean that it ties everything together, just that it has some ties, if you believe the rumours.

 

The teaser poster is online now... All over the place and it's gonna be shown on ET tonight or maybe Monday, not sure. The trailer will be online within the next day too I reckon.

Excellent concept. Poor exection.


The problems are;

1. Looks like Vader was born with a hare-lip.
2. The folds / bags under the eye
3. The eye is too round

Basically, the Vader is too stylised and should have closer followed the actual helmet, rather than trying to emulate 'realistic' folds in the cape.

 

Yeah, I don't like it. To me, it looks like bad fan art. The idea is nice, and it echoes the Episode 1 teaser posters with Darth Vader's shadow. But the artwork is too airbrush-y, and the Vader mask just doesn't look quite right.

My mind doesn't contruct any 'eye' in the image. When I look at it, it appears as if the eye of the mask is covered by the folds of the cape.

It's unusual for a teaser poster. I think it might grow on me.

 

There's another (Maquarrie-esque concept) Vader helmet, but as 99% of the public will miss it, it seems a waste - especially because it may well be the reason the 'main' mask is so distorted.

Now when I look at it, the 'back-to-back with Anakin' Vader is the clearest one there. It's kinda of like those optical illusion pics. People are going to be finding new things for weeks.

I think the largest Vader is more visible further back from the picture.

 

The net is alive with spoilers... Most seem pretty legit, I'm pretty amped at the moment!

But I have to stop reading them or I'm not going to have any suprises left... except for the big one at the end!

I think that's just clutching at straws. Why would Boba Fett be in there? And who / what's Grievous (SW n00b?)

I can't make out the Emperor either. :\

 

This is like the SW community's conspiricy theory...

I see the one that's meant to be there and I sorta see the second big Vader. But there is no Fett or Grevious in there, no Palpatine either.

General Greviuos is the new 'cool' villian in RotS, his screen time is said to be about the same as Maul's but I think he is a much cooler character...

He's not really part of the story of RotS BUT he does have alot to do with the birth of some guy who likes to wear black leather... I better not say anymore.

I'm not so sure about these 'conspiracies'I think some people are looking into it too much.

I did a quick mirror image of the poster in Photoshop and found that it looked more like the Darth Vader from the Star Wars Trilogy - Bonus Materials DVD cover.

Vaders head seems to be tilted just like the Bonus materials.
