maybe, it is definitely in the middle territory. "Ok" is definitely not rotten, but it is hard to put it as fresh.

 

yeah even though it's hard to tell due to instant reaction hype of a Premiere, there is no "verified" online comment panning the movie, Faraci being the most critical but he still said nice things. If that can cross over into reviewers i'd say it hovers around 90.

Reading some reviews, and i don't want to make this a debating issue, i think the highest ratings will come from women. I have seen a noticeable positive reaction to Rey (Geena Davis in particular)

Somewhere between 80% to 95%. The fact the worst reaction to the premiere is "ok", speaks of a very well received film. Despite the fact I usually take premiere reactions with a grain of salt.

 

Yeah I agree. Everyone has to wait at least a month to see how it all will finally stack up. This is the first Star Wars film in 10 years and the sequel to a 30+ year old film, so there is a lot of hype clearly.

 

Well, as of now, with 113 reviews, TFA is at 97%. But Avengers Age of Ultron has 292 reviews so I think it's likely only a third have come in. Still, I chuckled to myself when I checked RT this morning.

 

It will stay well in the 90's and it deserves it cause I just got back from seeing & my mind is still blown !

I bumped it just to highlight I predicted 95% after seeing the tweets from the premiere. : ). Either way the reviews are exceeding even the people who thought they were being bold (people who we going around 90%).

Probably the tastiest crow you will ever eat as this is the kind of thing I am sure you are glad you were wrong about.

I think it well deserves the plaudits. It really is the only film since ESB that actually makes you feel anything like an emotional response other than joy or excitement. Rey's sadness on Jakku, Han's death, Leia sensing Han's death, Rey's force pulling that saber towards her in the battle vs Kylo, and the meeting between Rey and Luke. Even the destruction of Hosnian Prime made me feel a lump in my throat.

 

Someone buy me a beer before it rises or falls again.
