Shira yelps in surprise as her blue-bladed saber goes flying. Jumping up over her opponent's head, she lands behind him and makes a grab at his hood as she calls her disposed hilt back to her hand, trying to get a glimpse of the man's tightly hidden identity

Ducking and spinning so as to keep Shira from making a grab at his hood, the Revanchist interposes his blade right into the path that Shira's lightsaber hilt is taking back to her hand, hoping to keep her with one weapon so his chances of overpowering her would be greater.

Stopping short of his strike at Jerbok, Ananta turns and looking upward and behind him, meets the weight of Alisha's quick strike at his chest, locking jade blades. Feeling intuitively that he must honor Jerbok's message pertaining to the Council's request of his immediate presence, he withdraws himself from between his two companions and dashes for the exit, but before leaving turns and offers a small bow of gratitude to both.

Wincing and moaning silently as her hand-made saber is sliced in two by this stranger's blade, she makes a mental note to collect the two pieces and repair her original blade. Turning back to the hooded figure, she circles him slowly, more wary now that she sees his skill, twirling her remaining yellow-bladed saber absently as she scrutinizes him both visually and through the Force. "What about a game of questions while we spar? You intrigue me. You ask me any question and I will answer truthfully before asking you a question in return."

From the depths of the shadows that encompass the far end of the room a massive Sith, a being known by many names, sensed the presence of an old friend.....if such a thing could be said about two Sith.

The Gen'Dai, Darth Cruor as he is now known, watched the newly arrived Sith for a few moments silently remembering days of glory. All who stood against them were dealt with swiftly and with no mercy, the exact number of those who died at their hands to this very day is unknown, though it is safe to say that together they decimated entire orders of Jedi. Darth Cruor smiled wickedly from beneath his tattered hood.

"Darth Dragonsith." His voice while little more than a raspy whisper, carried easily to his old friend. "It has been a long time since I have seen a true Lord of the New Sith Order. Our kind has all but gone extinct." He walked forward from the concealing shadows, at his full height he stood taller than any Wookie at almost 7 feet tall. "It is good to see you. I have sensed the presence of others as well, Darth Nemisis and Darth Vassago"

Again flashes of the past filled the mind of the ancient Gen'Dai, and with it came a powerful rush of Dark Side energy. "Oh those times, what we built together.....to this day new generations of Sith learn about what we did and those who fell trying to stop us." The Gen'Dai approached closer, though slowly, towards Darth Dragonsith. "What I wouldn't give to unite the Lords of the New Sith Order once again." The mighty Sith's hooded head turned upwards, the two fiery pinpoints of light that were his eyes narrowed a bit as if trying to read the future. "Is something like that even possible after all that has happened?"

The question was genuine. Darth Cruor desired many things, but above them all was the hopes of reuniting four of the greatest Sith who ever lived. The founding fathers of the New Sith Order. Darth Dragonsith, Darth Nemisis, Darth Vassago and himself.

Darth Cruor had waited long, his sins many, but he hoped that the time was now right to make amends and once again bring the galaxy under the combined power of the True Sith.

~ Cut off, cut out, cast out, ostracized, abandoned, defeated, isolated…hidden. Each is a way to describe the fabled Dark Lord. The once great Lord and Ruler of all the Sith, the most feared Order in all the Galaxy, has not been seen or heard from in a great many years. So long, in fact, some would say he is no more than a myth. Farmers and children, inn keepers and travelers tell stories of the Sith Order and the battles fought, the battles won and the bodies that piled high as the clouds in the sky. The tales told mention the great many Sith Warriors, champions of the Dark Side, wielders of the greatest powers the Galaxy has ever seen, as well as the one who led them. The stories described him as a powerful man of great stature and lavish trappings, capable of tearing down an entire temple with nothing but his command of the Force. His swordsmanship was described as legendary, striking flawlessly and fluidly, capable of downing numerous armed enemies while he, himself, armed with only a single lightsaber. The man was described as handsome, with chiseled features upon a finely aged face and a mane of silver hair kept neatly back. The Great and Terrible Dark Lord.

But these were merely tales; rumors that had been stretched so far from the truth, embellished so greatly that the origins were completely lost and now seemingly served only to entertain.

The truth is a wonderful and terrible thing. The truth on these matters, on the matters of the man known as the Dark Lord of the Sith, may never come to light.

The darkness holds firm, the temple walls teeming with little life of late. The stones that comprised the temple sit, undisturbed by any sort of activity for a considerable length of time. A slow rolling breeze moves through the halls, pushing the resting dust and pebbles off those stones that protrude from the walls. The swirls of dust carry downward and rest upon the rough ground.
A staff, weaved together from the trunk of a near ancient Wroshyr tree, taps the ground, creating a grinding sound as it rests upon the dust and pebbles. The man attached to the staff moves slowly down the hallway using it to aid his steps, his right hand securing his footing while his left sways at his side. His pace is not brisk, nor is it slow. The drab brown cloak he wears conceals the entirety of his clothing; the hood draped over his head shadows his face.

The figure in humble apparel turns his focus to the imposing creature standing nearby, the Great Lord who whispered for only one to hear. The mighty figure was imposing and would surely serve to intimidate all who dared challenge him.
The staff wielding figure comes to a slow stop, bringing his staff to rest before him and resting both his hands upon them. The light that fills the temple, though dim, is enough to illuminate the man a bit more. The hands that rest upon the staff spotted, showing age, faded markings weave themselves along the hands that appear unkempt, dirty and cracked with nails that haven’t been cut back for a time. A greyish-white beard stretches down from the face obstructed by the shadow of the hood, perhaps lending to the age of this person.

After a moment, he draws breath to speak.
Hello, old friend.” His words hang in the air, with each syllable echoing faintly. “It’s nearly been an age, hasn’t it?”The echoes carry his words, allowing his deep voice to carry further and seem much louder than it truly is. He speaks softly, though his tone is not without strength.

    A surprise, to be sure...
    ~

For as long as the Gen'Dai had lived, he never ceased to be amazed at the way in which of the Force worked. What he had asked Darth Dragonsith only moments ago was a surprise to himself, though he had harbored the feelings for what felt like an eternity he never expected to hear himself vocalize them to anyone. What caused him to do so? Nostalgia? Lust for power? Darth Cruor believed it was possibly something else. After all, even Sith have the capability to create strong bonds of friendship, and miss those bonds after they are gone.

What surprised him even more, though he had hoped for such a result, was that one of the Sith Lord's he referred to had arrived at this very moment. Though that was not the most shocking revelation of his arrival. The man had aged, or at least appeared to have done so. The last time the Gen'Dai had saw him he was not necessarily young by human standards, but he was still strong and vibrant, not this decrepit looking being. There was power in him still however, of that there could be no denial.

Darth Cruor took in the sight for a few moments, but it was Darth Vassago who broke the silence. “Hello, old friend. It’s nearly been an age, hasn’t it?His voice sounded strong, and sure. The ancient Gen'Dai wasn't sure how he was going to feel at the sound of that familiar voice until he heard it, but without a doubt he was glad to hear the greeting. Though the legendary Sith Lord had not been seen in countless years, the Gen'Dai always knew he was still out there, somewhere.

"Indeed it has Lord Vassago." Darth Cruor replied, his voice a scratchy whisper as always. He took a few measured steps toward the aged Sith Lord before continuing. "It is good to see you again." The sentiment was genuine. Darth Cruor had known many Sith in his time, but he counted few as true brothers. In fact at this very moment two of the three of those brothers stood in this very room, the only one missing was Darth Nemisis.

Darth Cruor stood silently, studying the man before him for many long moments, struggling to find the right words but eventually settling for the simple truth. "I don't even know where to begin."

    IC: Darth Draconis

The day had passed slowly as Draconis stood motionless for hours meditating, resting, and reflecting while basking in the mid-day sun that penetrated down to the temple floor. Now the warmth that once reflected off the stone interior had receded. The shadows of the pillars and statues contained within its walls had roamed like sundials to where their cast shadows now reached away from the fading late afternoon sun that had begun to pass over the edges of the weathered temple exterior. Draconis had be called back to this place on the surface though the currents of the force. Though little had been betrayed about what was beginning to transpire. The temple had been vacant when he had arrived, when Draconis had originally approach the temple he could feel the black void of life growing within the area. As if rats fleeing a ship, the few life forms that he had sensed upon approaching and arrival had become fainter obviously putting distance between the Sith Lord as he approached. The temple was vacant, though the power that permeated this place still remained subtly constant. Now as the sun faded Draconis kept his resolve. It wasn’t a matter of figuring out the reason for being here, but rather having patience and opening oneself to the force as the hours, days, weeks if they be… were of no consequence as the reasons for this drawing would reveal themselves.

The moment was piercing and instantly he felt the presence and the words thereafter calling out Draconis’ name. Draconis eyes snapped open though he remained still now sitting meditating. Gen’Dai… the words rang in his head. “Cruor.” The name came out clearly but barely audible as a whisper under the dark cloak hooded face as he sat.

"It is good to see you. I have sensed the presence of others as well, Darth Nemisis and Darth Vassago… What I wouldn't give to unite the Lords of the New Sith Order once again." The words were filled with pride and rightly so, they had ruled like no others before and after. "Is something like that even possible after all that has happened?" The Gen’Dai Lord asked.

Draconis stood up smoothly, the tattered robes he wore raising off the stone floor as he rose to his feet, disturbing a small amount of dust that reflected in the setting suns light. Draconis stood tall, though not nearly at the height of the massive Gen’Dai, Draconis remained in place not stepping towards the Sith Lord. The order… Lords… …..happening…” Draconis' word were ambiguous, almost as much questions as they were statements. They snapped out as if being forced from Draconis as the force drove him to mutter the words. The force was growing immensely… two Lords stood face to face. Confusion crept into Draconis head briefly almost doubt in regards to the feelings that were growing. The force rippled, but not in a massive brute explosion, more a subtle dagger like flow that was precise, calculated, and focused.

Darth Cruor words were not lost on Draconis, the feelings of respect were more than mutual. They had bled, suffered, and triumphed in the dirt and skies of countless systems. The Gen’Dai’s words were still resonating, they didn’t even have time to truly sink in… when the surge ran up Draconis spine. “Milord.” Draconis turned to see the figure approaching them and coming to a stop, the echo of hardened wood meeting stone had a soft yet firm sound as it echoed throughout the stone walls. Lord Vassago’s voice was soft yet strong and sure. Draconis was closer to the two other Sith Lords now as he offered a respectful nod, his shoulders dipping slightly towards the Dark Lord of the Sith. Few actually had the honor and privilege to be a direct apprentice of the Dark Lord of the Sith. Even fewer lived to tell of such… which perhaps was a subtle testament to Draconis skill or perhaps to fact that his usefulness had not yet been exhausted for the Lord of the Sith. The Lord appearance meant little, as that was not the core of the Sith. Though of course the question of where the Lord of the Sith had been, along with were all of them had been was surely shared.

Draconis offered no words to the situation as it was speaking for itself, the aura of respect that emanated from him towards the other two men present was more than enough. Just from the mere presents of the Lords, the currents of the force were saturating the once vacant stone shell of the temple. The hungry currents of the force slowly flowing in. However this was not a frenzy of power, but a controlled rise of the tide which was engulfing the area.

Had it begun? The though entered Draconis mind. The Gen’Dai Lord Darth Cruor offered “I don't even know where to begin." Rightly so, where did they begin ? What purpose was here? What did the future hold? What was this all about? The questions raged in his mind, though one thing was clear. Draconis’ head turned slightly toward the Gen’Dai Lord. “It already has begun brother.”

~A muffled, grisly laugh leaves the lips of the old man standing before the great Gen’Dai. "Where could we possibly begin? Such time has passed." He states in a warm tone, lifting his hands to the edges of his hood, drawing them back. The hood rests softly around his shoulders, revealing his face. "Time that has seemingly been much kinder to you, old friend." The visage that was at one point gracefully aged has now been affected harshly by the time that has seemingly left him behind. The top of his head, once adorned with a silver crown of flowing hair is now barren, completely bald and adorned with several markings. The tip of his right ear has been lost; a scar now runs down the side of his head coming down to his ear. What can only be described as heavy deep red bags rest below his senescent hazel eyes, a faint scar of pink hue crosses down his right eye lid nearly to his cheek. The beard, visible from below the hood, runs midway to his temple but ends before reaching the crown of his skull. His physical body appeared thin, no excess weight to speak of.

Slowly, he shakes his head and shifts his weight on the staff, turning to a second man standing near them. A light smile tugs at the corner of his lips as his aged eyes rest upon Draconis, a man who was once his Apprentice. His eye lids fall slowly as he is taken back to a time of glory and power. There were few beings he had trusted as much as his former Apprentice, something not often found among the Sith, a group known for betrayal and deceit.
Lowering his head, nearly to a shallow bow, he looks to Draconis. "I truly never thought I would lay eyes upon you, my Apprentice." He stated sincerely. Nor did he believe he would find himself in the presence of Cruor for that matter. All of this, the entire meeting, which has only just begun, is something he truly never believed would happen.

Again shifting his weight on his staff, he takes half a step back, so as to look to both the Sith Lords before him and address them both. He draws breath to speak once more."The Force has pulled at my mind for many, many years. Your signatures within the binding, living Force has never escaped me. However, it seems now is the time for our reunion." He states in a reserved tone. Truly, the years that had gone by left him alone, to meditate on many things. Within his meditations, he was able to recognize signatures in the Force. There had been numerous times that reaching out and meeting had seemed wise, yet he refused to act. This time, however, in this moment, he felt it was right. Whether this was a ruse to draw him out or truly a meeting of super powers had yet to be determined. Though the former seemed unlikely, stranger things had happened. “Please, start from the beginning.”

The request seems rather open ended. A request to both the Sith Lords before him, wondering plainly where time had gone and what seems to have brought them together. The request extends beyond that, gauging the situation to what may come, what intentions the Sith Lords have and even a potential alliance. Only time could truly tell.~

As his blade passed through Shira's lightsaber hilt, the Revanchist followed through with his swing, twirling it before returning to the Djem So opening stance. Shira winces and begins circling him. "What about a game of questions while we spar?" she said. "You intrigue me. The Revanchist considers this. "I already know much about you," he said, restoring his presence in the Force. "Master."

"Where could we possibly begin? Such time has passed." Darth Vassago stated calmly as he drew back his hood, his ravaged face showed clearly. "Time that has seemingly been much kinder to you, old friend." It was obvious that what ever road Vassago had walked was unkind, worse was that he was forced to travel it without those he once counted as close friends. Darth Cruor supposed that all of them had traveled such roads in the recent years, each which left them burdened and scarred in their own ways. He could not speak for the others, but the Gen'Dai knew that there were countless times he wished his brothers were back at his side, and regretted the decisions that drove them apart.

The Gen'Dai wasn't aware of when Lord Vassago realized that his apprentice was there, though it was safe to assume that he always knew it, the bond between Master and Apprentice is so strong that it would have been impossible for the Apprentice to be present without the Master knowing. "I truly never thought I would lay eyes upon you, my Apprentice." Lord Vassago said as he laid eyes upon his friend. It was a feeling that Darth Cruor shared, standing here with these men would have seemed impossible not long ago. Only one was still missing, Darth Cruor's own Apprentice Darth Nemisis, his arrival would be of great significance and mean much to the ancient Sith.

Lord Vassago took a slight step back and drew the Gen'Dai from his own reverie, "The Force has pulled at my mind for many, many years. Your signatures within the binding, living Force has never escaped me. However, it seems now is the time for our reunion." The aged Sith Lord commented cautiously.

A reunion, could that be possible? It was almost too much to hope for, though the Gen'Dai took a risk and hoped for it anyway. Through all his long life only a few short years held true meaning, those were when these men stood beside him in times of conflict and glory. Darth Cruor had known many Sith, both before and after these Lords had come and gone, but not a one met the standard set by the Lords Dragonsith, Vassago and Nemisis. Darth Cruor would happily leave all those who tried to replace his friends laying in cold blood if it meant reuniting the True Lords of the Sith.

In reply to the Gen'Dai's earlier statement, Darth Vassago answered “Please, start from the beginning.” It sounded so simple, but where did it all truly begin? So many years have come and gone, the memory of such details were clouded by time. It was a time of great conflict against enemies both seen and unseen, the Dark Side helped them defeat all such foes, but when those foes were gone.....all that was left was each other. One must be strong to control the Dark Side of the Force, lest it consume you and all that you care for.

It was at this very moment than the Gen'Dai Darth Cruor, first Lord of the New Sith Order, murderer of foes (both Jedi and Sith) beyond count realized a terrible truth. He had not been strong enough.

"The beginning?" The Gen'Dai said softly, his tone almost suggested defeat. "I do not know where it began." He looked first to Darth Dragonsith, then to Darth Vassago, his fiery red eyes flickered from beneath his hood. "However, it must end here. I regret many things, but above all I regret my part in our fall." He was speaking now directly to Darth Vassago, for that is who deserved to hear these words. "I have wronged you my friend, and my pride has to this point prevented any attempt to correct it." Even as he spoke the words the burden of the past years began to ease. The Gen'Dai did not know how his old friend would react, or if too much time had been allowed to slip by while scars covered the wounds that were inflicted, but it was long past time that the words were said.

    "I am sorry."

As the figure lets the cloak around his Force signature fall, Shira fails to stilfe a shocked gasp and steps back, her mouth falling open. Gathering her composure back, she steps towards, half-raising a hand towards her old Padawan. "Anakin..."

Failing to conjure more words at the moment, she wars with the surge of old and new emotions assaulting her; Old pain and fear from when he disappeared, joy at finding him alive, confusion as to why he shielded himself in the first place and the new fear at the tainted feeling of his Force signature. Watching him carefully, she steps back towards him, trying to peer under his hood

"Anakin...what happened? I searched for you, my Padawan. I searched for years, but there was never any trace. It was as if the Force had swallowed you completely. You disappeared so completely I couldn't even feel you in the Force."

Returning to the secluded corner of the arena, Ananta now finds Alisha alone meditating inside a tiny cave-like structure that has naturally formed from several toppled pillars and some broad broken marble slabs. She sits motionless, her eyes cast downward, yet half-open. He moves close enough to alert her of his presence without interrupting, and takes a seat himself.

Following her out into the nestled clearing, he again assumes the Soresu opening stance and ignites his jade blade, listening to its soothing hum close to his head. Awaiting her opening move, he gives her a slight smile and finally speaks.

Perhaps the benefits of your meditation will make themselves known more now than before in the cave.

Once outside the little cave, Alisha gave a thoughtful pause before igniting her heirloom's emerald blade. The use of meditation was mostly used to aid her mental exercises, but there was never anything said against using it for physical work as well...The arena would be as good as any other place to test this theory.

"Hmm, it just might, nii-san [brother], we'll just have to wait and see..."

Beginning with an Ataru opening stance to counter Ananta's Soresu, she lunged forward with her now-extended blade. Lowering herself to the ground, she begins with a sweep at his legs to knock him off-balance.

Observing Alisha beginning to crouch, Ananta instead takes a running step towards her, and a millisecond before her low saber swing, jumps over her head with a single forward flip and twists 180 degrees while still in the air before landing to face her again from behind. ”I am sorry.”

~The words hang in the air for what feels like days. With each second that passes, they echo in the aged man’s mind. He stands, head tilted down, and absorbs what he has heard from the Gen’Dai. Slowly, his eyelids fall over his senescent eyes and he is taken back to a time when the Lords standing in the room ruled beside him, to a time when he had an army of the most powerful Sith assembled before him in a grand temple. He is taken back to a time when he ruled with an iron fist, when he had taken up his sword and unleashed hell upon Draconis for something as simple as not being able to sense his own Apprentice in the Force, a misstep as a Master, as he recalled. In this memory he sees each person as if they are standing with him now, yet their words sound like gibberish and his mind is fixed on the being he once was; proud and powerful, absolutely calculating with an unrelenting aloof sense of superiority to all in his presence. The man he sees in his mind, in his memory would have scoffed at and brushed off an apology as a sure sign of weakness…and killed the man that allowed such weakness to fall from his lips.

    But that was ages ago…

His heavy eyelids rise slowly, returning him to the moment at present, the moment within the temple with these old Lords. He turns his pale hazel eyes to the Gen’Dai and nods his head slowly.~ “Your words resonate within me, old friend. I know the simple expression of an apology, along with the concept of forgiveness can be lost on many,” ~ He states with an almost warmth to his voice, something relatively uncharacteristic.~ “But rest assured, I do not take your words lightly. I take them to heart. I know, it wasn’t easy…” ~For a moment, he trails off again. He finds himself thinking of all the times he too felt the urge to extend an apology and quickly reminds himself why he did not. Exposing one’s emotions, being too open or feeling too much is the path to a swift death.

While he still isn’t completely sure of the Gen’Dai’s motives, he does feel remorse and regret in the same way Cruor does, for the course of action taken. Much had been left unfinished.~ “With so much that has happened between all of us,” ~The aged man starts again, gesturing to the Gen’Dai as he speaks~ “But you and I most of all, there was sure to be regrets on both sides. Let us moves that aside and move on to what truly brought us together here and now.” ~He shifts his weight as he finishes, standing now with both Sith Lords directly before him. He knew, as well as anyone else did, that there had to be a motive; whether it is as simple as a reunion for an apology or perhaps something greater, a move to promote a union and draw the powers together once more...this had not been established. On the other hand, the aged man had lived far too long to convince himself there was no danger at all…he surely knew anything could happen, especially with two capable Sith Lords before him. He knew a more morbid end was absolutely possible, however he did indeed hope for a civil meeting by all parties present.~

Alisha whipped around as her brother leapt over both her and her sweep, just quick enough to spot his free-hand going for another attack. Sharply twisting herself around, she still felt a hard shove to her side that sent her back several feet. The heels in Alisha's boots dug into the rubble-strewn ground as she struggled to keep her footing.

Skidding to a halt at last against a stone column, she used a brief burst of Dash to get right back to Ananta. Twirling as she did so, her jade-colored lightsaber became a deadly top as she advanced on her brother.

Witnessing Alisha ricochet herself towards him as a whirling dervish of green blade strokes, Ananta regains his footing and quickly draws his attention inward to more deeply feel how to counter her attack through the Force, while raising his blade, steadily poised, to anticipate deflecting her blows. The speed and fluidity of her movements, breathtaking to watch.
