Rugby World Cup 2007

Right. Rugby World Cup starts in about 3 weeks. We haven't won the bloody thing since the very first one in 1987.

So, icons? Banner? Who's in charge around here?

 

I can mention it in the MS Special Icon thread.

 

New Zealand's usually in the top three though.

I'll probably catch the last couple games, but most definitely the final.

 

top 3 isn't good enough. we simply MUST win this tournament.

If someone wants to make a banner, I'll be glad to put it up in The Arena.

I'm always wanting to get special event banners up in here.

 

This week's MS Update has noted that banners and icons can now be submitted for this. I imagine the icons will work the same way they did for the Football World Cup - exitting teams will have their icons removed when they are out.

Not too confidant that the Australians will do too well - our form, especially away, has been atrocious the last couple of years.

I'd like to say New Zealand will win it, but I think that France should be favourites, considering they are hosting it and have just won the Six Nations.

 

The way England played last night in their friendly against France, they have some work to do. Otherwise they won't make it past the group round.

 

the All Blacks came over to France and smashed them in a few friendles last year. like the Aussies in the Cricket WC, this is their tournament to lose.

 

Like the last four.

I haven't seen any mention of icons since I posted the request. DVeditor would be the person to PM on that (or ask in the Comms Icon thread). If any of you want to submit any there are team images here on the RWC Official Site.

 

Cool. I might resize/crop some later today when I get a moment or two.

Edit: OK, that was simple enough. Nothing flashy, just the team logos plus a few generic RWC icons. If anyone wants to do a few players or Rugby balls or the cup or whatever, go for it...

My father in law wants to put $100 on Wales to with the World Cup.


My father in law also has advanced Parkinson's Disease and his brain doesn't work properly.

 

I wish we could watch the games out here.
