I came across my copy of this trivia book over the weekend and wondered if Rusty Miller, the "enterprising eleven-year-old student" who compiled it, has done anything else SW related since. I remember getting the book at about the same age and thinking, "I wish I had done that."

Does anyone know? I did a web search on him and the book, but only found info on the book.

    Thanks!

I had that book too. I couldn't believe someone could know that much about Star Wars back then.

Of course, now we have entire discussion forums full of Rusty Millers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems Miller holds the record for the youngest ever published Star Wars author, assuming an equally enterprising ten year old doesn't come up with a winning What's the Story entry...

From the back of the book:
    ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Rusty Miller has red hair, lots of freckles, wears braces and smiles a lot?he's an all-American kid. Rusty takes guitar lessons, sings in the school chorus and is an A student enrolled in The Gifted Students' Program. He lives in Florida with his parents and maintains that his "best friend" is his dachshund, Frodo. The is Rusty's first book.

If my math is right (which it often is not :p), he should be around 34 now. Who knows...Rusty could even be a fellow JCer. [face_thinking]

Truth to tell, I don't think I've heard of this book? When was it released?

1982. I'd never heard of it until I saw it in a used bookstore a while back; I picked it up for about a dollar or so.

'82, huh. Let's see, in '82 about all I would have had for SW books was an ANH read-along (with a 45) and an ESB coloring book. Beyond the coloring books and the read-alongs, I had no clue other SW books exsisted. It wasn't until my mom picked up the RoTJ novelization when the movie came out that I even found out they made other SW books. And it wasn't until I was in my twenties that I learned she had bought the novelization for me. I'd always thought she'd bought it to have around the house.
