I hope you did the remastered version, as the old one's sound was crap.

Yeah, not so much. Old habits die hard.
I was basically playing it while I set my equalizer. The "Rock" preset makes most things sound best, everything else was too deep or too hollow.

I'm definitely not used to having this much bass right here. It really brings out the depth in the 'sabers, which is why I used RvD to check my sound out. I may even have to turn the bass down a touch more, we'll see when I listen to some other stuff.

I know it's been said over and over again, but very well executed DVD. I haven't even gotten to the BTS featurettes and it's amazing. Well worth the wait and just another example from Michael and Ryan doing an incredible job. Have you guys considered entering it into the 2008 DVDA Awards?

Seeing as the entire DVD IS a bts featurette, you watched only the bonus disc ;)

Dorkman was absorbing the plasma energy. If you pay close attention you can see he's using it to regrow his arm back under his shirt.

Yea but be honest, wouldn't Ryan vs Dorkman: Laser Fist be a cool title for part III? I mean every other kind of 'saber has been done under the sun.

I had an idea before I was even a member here about a guy w/ a cyborg arm which where the hand would sort of break away and a 'saber would pop out of his fist. I thought it'd be weird though, since he wouldn't be holding it upright, it would shoot out as an extension of his forearm, same direction.

Having his forearm/fist BE the lightsaber, that's interesting.

Prolly not for RvD3. But interesting.

Theres no reason for anybody to have a mechanical arm in the 3rd. Each movie is it's own. No continuity between shows... so far...

I like my idea of cloning, which many others also thought of. RVD has a good environment for it, and it can help tie all 3 together so its an actual saga, and not the same saber fight redone every 4 years or so, blah. I think RVD2 had too much action and became repeatative without a driving story.
