That is brilliant @DarthAnakin96. The movie still looks good but wow animation's come far since 2004.

Was listening to a movie podcast yesterday, and the host was talking about how he never realized that the movie begins in like the 40s/50s & then skips to the 60s. BLEW my mind; never realized that.

Nah, maybe in another life. It's a central institution for French sciences and arts and somehow I don't think they'd admit someone born outside of France and even if they did, I'm too young. They're all academics.

Deadpool 2 was pretty good especially because I had not seen the first one.

 

Yeah, there were a couple of reasons he didn't go that route. He and Melody had decided to have a baby. He had wanted to build his own studio near Skywalker Ranch, but the rich snobs in Marin County kept blocking it. (After they blocked that, he turned the property into an affordable housing project for the poor, which I'm sure pissed off the residents of Marin County even more.) Without his own studio in his backyard that meant he would've had to film it overseas or L.A. or somewhere far from home. That made the scenario of raising a baby and making a film even more difficult. He also wanted to focus more on philanthropy, building his museum, and making small avant-garde films. Since he has a lot of health problems, he wanted to give himself as much time as possible to work on those things.

Also, I think he wasn't as into the ST as the PT or the OT. By TESB, he really conceived of the 6 films as the Fall and Rise of Vader. His heart was really in that story, and he would've never handed it off to someone else to finish like he was planning to do with the ST. I think he cared about his vision for the ST, but it was more because it involved Luke, Han, and Leia, and he wanted the lives of his creations to go a path that felt right to him. The idea of the ST was also a selling point to Disney. It made LFL worth more and guaranteed that his employees could keep their jobs working in Star Wars. (This was actually part of the agreement, and even though Disney was contractually required to keep his staff, they ended up firing a lot of people from the video game division. Maybe they found a loophole.)

I think Lucas wouldn't have been miffed with the Disney's ST if they had changed the stories somewhat in development. What put him off was that they dumped the futures he envisioned for Luke, Han, and Leia almost completely and started from scratch. At least, that's the best I can put together from reading all the behind-the-scenes stuff I've read and watching interviews with GL.

Also the 2026 World Cup will now officially take place in between Canada, the US and Mexico, and will be the first in which 48 countries will play.

I didn't watch or read any E3 things so the only thing I think I know about it is Ridley will be a playable character(?)

Minor rant, but it seems to me rather disappointing that no other Mario characters made it into the Super Smash Ultimate game (and I'm not a gamer ). Would have been nice to have had King K Rool from Donkey Kong fame, and maybe Lanky Kong or Cranky Kong

Oh and where is Waluigi?
