Hi fellow South Aussie SW fans,

Firstly, allow me to introduce myself. My name is David, I'm 35 and have been a fan and collector of Star Wars for pretty much as long as I can remember.

I've also been fortunate enough to be the holder of the custom plates OBI WAN in SA for the last 12 years or so.

As much as I love having them on my car, a change of vehicle (which does not suit the plates) has prompted me to offer them up for sale.

If you would like to enquire further please contact me at aussiejedi@adam.com.au

    Thanks,

    David

Welcome Aussie_Jedi, I have seen your plates around the place. I Have had to edit your post as advertising for monetary values is frowned upon at The Force Net, but I have left the vital information here for those interested to read. If anyone wants these plates, please contact Aussie_Jedi via PM or email.

    Hi David,

    Welcome to SAFF ;)

Very cool plates, if I do say so myself! I hope you find a good home for them.

As A-D said, stick around! We'd love to hear about your SW stuff!

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

Nice work on the YODA plates beezel26.

I've still got most of my SW toys from my childhood, including an almost complete loose collection of the figures. My favourite piece would have to be my Toltoys Death Star.

I got back into collecting SW around '95 with the POTF2 line of figures, and for a while there was keeping up with Hasbro's releases. A marriage and 2 kids later and (as some of you will know) priorities change and it's become too expensive/difficult to keep up. I still keep my eye out though for anything really cool that takes my eye.

    David

I'm like that. I started when I was 11 and still have some of that stuff, but these days I dont buy everything, but I have selected pieces that I really want. I too have the marriage and two kids so yeah, I do get the whole Darth Real Life thing for sure.

not too sure I'm going to have too much luck on that front. I have two girls (3 and 1) both of whom prefer princesses at the moment...

Easy!! I have a 13 year old, (she's Padme when she's logged on) but she's been Princess Leia and Padme since she was 2!!! My son has been a Anakin, a Jedi and an Ewok since he was 9 months old!!!

My son, 8, is into the Star Wars lego.
He got a heap for his recent birthday.
    I love it also!
My 2 girls dont mind it but not so heavily.
Nothing like having another childhood through you own kids!!!!
People tell me, the only reason I had kids was so I could play with their toys!
Glad I had at least 1 boy.

I've found it gives me a connection with my son that my husband simply doesnt have. He stares at us blankly when we sit and discuss the Clone Wars Y Wing vs the OT/PT Y Wing or when we talk about characters or plots or even the inertial dampeners on an X Wing!! He simply doesn't get it, but my son loves that his mum does!!!

    Nice.

Came out from Bunnings today to find a guy standing in front of my car taking photos. Walked up to him and asked "Am I in trouble or are you a Star Wars fan?" He laughed nerviously and said "Maybe the latter?" I said "The Rebel and Imperial Symbols are on the back." He said "I know, got those photos." LOL!!
