Sac, CA SAC CON - Sunday Dec. 10

Hmmmmm! I've never used a wristband before. Do you know that you can go in the back door (the vendor's entrance) instead of the main door? Then again, I have always been there early.

 

Ermm maybe IXNAY on the BACKDOORAY as I know that those who put on these events also browse these boards

 

Staffers and Vendors who are associated with Sac Con are the only ones who should be using the backdoor. If you are not there SPECIFICALLY to help set up the booth and/or man it - I.E. You have a wristban from LDV as a SVRF Booth Staff- please do not use the side entrance. The show relies on attendance revenues to continue to grow and provide quality content. Considering how we are growing as a group by leaps and bounds it would have a serious impact on the convention's funding if all 30+ members were to do this.

JDK, I will be at the party. If I have room in my car (it's going to be packed with armor and such, but the front seat should be empty) I will give you a ride back to Woodland. I just can't promise a ride to Sac Con since I may be doing something else that morning and going straight to the con from there. I'll let you know.

 

Okay it seems I have people coming in the noontime. I will need a couple of people there by 7-8AM for setup.

 

ok i might be able 2 make the 7 am 2 help but if i do that i might have to break out of there about noon although going to mels after always sounds great

 

I won't make it to Mel's afterwards. The 501st is doing a Toys 4 Tots drive right after the convention.
We will also be collecting toys at the con for Toys 4 Tots.

 

We can come help set up and come back to help take down but will be unable to spend the middle part of the day. Have to many things that have to be done that day. I will bring the additional black tablecloth with me.

I will be there around 7:00am or so.

 

I will be working at 9am most likely. If there is some miracle, I'll post it here or tell you guys at the party.

Event Update (501st side of things):
We will not be dropping off toys for T4T after Sac Con, but we will still be collecting toys during Sac Con to be delivered Dec. 14th.
What does this mean for you? I will probably be at Mel's afterwards and may convince some of the guys to join us as well. I will also help with tear-down.

Fantastic! Sounds like I have enough to be there to help with set up.

 

For the most part, it was a semi successful Con. ALthough after today's performance, certain guide lines will be discussed and implimented regarding our next Sac Con in three months. Thank you to all who helped open and close the Con. Thank you to all who worked the Con behind the table. I know it was cramped but thank you for being there anyway. Notes on how we can significantly improve our next Con are being written down now.
