FF:SA SAFF Beach Day Saturday 6th January

I'd say there's more chance of any beach cricket contest happening in NSW rather than here. I don't really think the NSWFF would travel here ... IMO

 

They should come here, just cos we're better. And we're better because i say so.

In bizarre circumstances, the ONE time I decided to come into slip, he bowled it right at me...

In his defence of course he held the SwingKing for an outswinger and the strong wind was coming across the pitch on an angle, going from leg to off, which basically means it goes flying to the offside very quickly

 

*visualises* That would look funny with the wind!

 

Well i'm sorry that i'm crap at cricket. It's not my sport. I'd whoop your arses at Lacrosse. because that IS my sport, that's what i'm good at.

 

Thankyou AD, Sabre & DV. I've been diving for catches like that all my cricketing life- which is why my knees and back are stuffed & I feel so old now *lol* It was a REALLY great day, had fun playing cricket & the pizza was really excellent too. I got a little bit burnt on the back of my neck ( hard to reach there), but besides that was all good.

 

Each item on its own may seem like nothing, but when they are combined, and then utilised by a group of men (or women) you will see... MAGIC! Like MS's catch, or silly run-outs, or my catch, or the pitch being so bad the ball stopped dead just INCHES infront of the stumps (Damn you were lucky JTN)

Hey about the lucky the sand was soft...I remember frequently doing the same dives on Mum & Dad's back patio in the local test matches I used to play against my friends....sure, you lose some skin....you bleed abit, but you'll heal ( eventually) & if you take the catch they're still out. My friends thought I was crazy, the might've been right. *lol* I LOVE cricket, footy too for that matter. Great growing up being a kid in Australia

 

Yeah, i was one of the kids that would much rather watch someone dive to catch it than actually do it myself.

Well, we had a great time too, Not burnt badly at all this time around, just a few spots on my legs... on the other hand Evil_rex got her back, legs and arms toasted lots of cream going on yesterday and today....
