Hey, has anyone got any gloves for the food handling by any chance ?

 

I just made up the signs that Ali and I are doing. They are:

Restrooms (with 3 ways the arrows pointing)

Saussage Sizzle $2
Drinks $2
Entry $2

Another one pointing out that you pay at the entry point, for both the entry table and the bbq area.

All have been copied twice in A4 & A3 Format.

Ali - whats missing from the list? Anything still left to do?

As per the list that Alison created, I am supplying the gloves. Just incase anyone asks, I will be bringing the following.

Alfoil
Newspaper
Garbage Bags
3 x hand towels
Disposable gloves
Cutting boards
Two trays to hold the sausages in
BBQ implments with BBQ
2 x toilet rolls
100 x large napkins
Cooking Oil
Gas bottle
Extra large food cover (incase Addi needs for cake stall?)

Starfire - what is missing from your list? Is it possible to email it to everyone/ or post what still needs to be done, so it can be crossed off as we go.

 

For the displays

I picked up a dress form for $10! I will be bringing both costumes. Don't forget, I am bringing the blue sheet and pins for the photo takers!

We are also swinging past the fish market for 1x 20kg bag of Ice.

I will have a small collection of cleaning items with as well.

 

I have straws - not using - will bring as well.
I will also be bringing some more tongs. Addi and I can split them between the cake stall and BBQ.

 

About to go for the night. So one last thing. I will want to keep any leftover sauce for myself. If there is enough of it left, I won't seek reimbursement (love sauce and use ALL the time).

MS - FYI. I think you will need to buy the star droppers.... They are around $9 each for the really large ones at bunnings (sale on!).

 

Yeah I tried around for some droppers, but couldnt find any spares. As I didnt get a PM about it, I assumed the other person MS had asked (I forget who?) had pulled through for him so.. yeah, sorry about that

 

I'd hope there'd be at least two peeps in there at any one time. We need to be vigilant about this I think.

Not a chance of getting my stuff insured specifically at this late stage. Unfortunately, even if I could get it insured, the difficulty in getting a number of the items would be astronomical (same for most people I'd think).

 

Re: Star droppers, no worries. Alfie's gonna bring them from his work so the star droppers are all organised. AD you're bringing an esky right & JTN is also yeah ? So that's got them covered ? E-R, no worries sounds good.

Skipp do you have home/contents insurance with accidental loss or damege ? It should cover theft off the property also.

 

I can bring one. but I'm worried about fitting all this stuff in the car, if anyone else can, it'd be good, if not I will

 

Sorry guys, I worked late again tonight, but as far as I can tell, everything on the list is covered at least once (and in some cases more than that)

The room with the displays and things is the same room the costumes will be in, and I'll be parking my butt there for most of the day. lol So there'll always be at least 2 or more people in that room at any given time

I'm working on a running sheet, should have it all finalised tomorrow night - if everyone can aim to arrive around 8:30am onwards, it would be much appreciated. There's a lot to organise and set up, and many hands will make light work If we are ready early, we can relax, but at least we can be prepared
