Salad Cream. Fridge or Cupboard?

Anyhow, that's nothing. Speaking of up the duff, apparently my gran used to eat coal whilst pregnant with my mother... weird!

 

You've mentioned that before. Turned my stomach then too.

 

My Mum craved ice cream when she was pregnant with me. Now she can't touch the stuff.

I must admit I find Salad Cream hideous..it's far too tangy for it's own good...

Saying that my girlfriend loves it and it lives in the fridge...among her other favourite fridge dwellers like......prunes!!!!!

 

Prunes are good - especially in yogurt.

oooooooooooooo, I love Salad creme.


I use to eat just that in a sandwich when I was little.


Mind you, I will eat anything between 2 slices of bread.


It's paricularly good mixed in with Pasta!

Before it's opened you can keep it in the cupboard but once you've opened it you have to keep it in the firdge. That's what we do anyway.

It's better if you mix mayo with Tomatoketchup IMO.

I have salad cream and ketchup. Excellent cheapo Thousand Island sauce/prawn cocktail sauce.

It's what they use in the keebab shop.


Except they buy it made in bottles but all it is is mayo and ketchup.


Never had it with salad cream. It's probably quite nice. Bit of a kick and all that.

 

....and there's me thinking that Salad cream belonged to our parents generation...

 

I work in a chippy which sells kebabs and we don't use the ketchup/mayo combo. Maybe I should suggest it to the gaffer.

 

Don't you have the "orange" looking burger sauce?


It goes pukka on chips too!
