Salt Lake Official Name

Ok after our next meeting is reported (which I have been doing) we will be official-- part of which is we will decide on an official name- Some just do the city + Fan Force or Fan Club. Others do like city + Jedi Academy or Imperial Academy.... any ideas?

 

how about a squadron name? like rogue, wraith, kyp's dozen? i dont know... just a thought....

 

thats an idea- although there are already several Rogues..

 

I think we need to do something that says we are Utah. You know along the lines of Jello, Ice Cream and other things that people find strange. Maybe something to do with how most Utans pronounce American Fork, meaning Fark for those who haven't heard it. I'm glad I'm not one of those strange ones that say that though. Those are just some ideas.

 

Salt Lake Star Wars Nudist Colony? ...wait...that's not Utah...

 

No that's the Bear Lake nudist colony. There is a sign right by it. But I'm sure those who go there are not ones that people would like to see nude. *shudders*

 

Well, we could always be "Jabba's Private Dancers"... or maybe since we're new we could be the "Bear Clan". I'm at a loss for any good ideas here... That's what a hangover and no sleep will do for ya...

 

How about we wait till Saturday to come up with something? Course it doesn't hurt to have all thes bouncing around now does it?

 

I think we can bounce ideas much more efficiently on Saturday. But if you have a great idea, go ahead and post it.

Maybe something like the Salt Lake Jello Jedi.

 

HOw about something to do with our strange weather? I really hate lake effect.

 

Just for thought:
We Star Wars fans have to fight tooth and nail for any dignity possible. If a time comes where we might do something public or at least have this name attached to ours on the boards- is this what we want to be known as? Another thought- as an outsider (not originally from Utah) I didn't and still don't get all the local Utah jokes- ie the Jello thing. No one outside of our happy lil valley will get it. Is that what we want?
I'll go along with whatever but my I just got off a buisness trip so that PR lobe of mine is acting up. Down, boy! Down!

What about "New Jedi Order: Salt Lake City Chapter" or something like that. It may start a new trend, and we Utahns would be the first.

 

Well Considering ont he topic why don;t we do something dessert like. Considering thats where we live.We could be the SLC Tusken Raiders? We could be the jedi Training Academy of Salt lake City?

I even have a button and a License plate Bracket that have the logo, I got them in Disney land 2 weeks ago. There is a lightsaber between the e and the d of Jedi
and underneath is it says honor tradition
and under neath that it says traing academy
Then under that (whoo!) it says Master the ways of the force.

We could scan it an Put SLC on it somewhere. I have nbever seen these item used anywhere.

I will probrably bring them to the meeting on Satuday if I can make it.

How about something to do with stupid drivers and not knowing how to deal with 4 way stops? Sorry I'm a little bitter about it right now. But you would be too if your car was hurt.

I think something like. 'Top of the Mountains acadamy' 'Wasatch Wookies' or something like that.

Top of the Mountains is the meaning behind Utah in the Ute language for those of you who didn't know.

I'm new here, did you guys ever come up with a name? Because I was thinking that something with a tatooine theme would be nice.(after all, we DO live in a desert)
