Not exactly major news, but it does lend fact to the idea of what I've been thinking is true: Star Wars Episode VII has been in the works for at least a full year now, and I bet you anything it was in the works in 2011 as well. That means by the time Episode VII comes out, over 3 years of work would have been put into it. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/20/a-tale-of-two-mauls?page=2 Nothing major in terms of development, but it does give us an idea where we stand in the production timeline and script development. Clearly they didn't throw it all together in October and November like many people may think.
I'd be up for him playing a major role. That dude takes his role(s) in the Star Wars universe very seriously and is more than proud to be a part of it!
I know there are folks who don't care for Galen Marek's storyline, but as long as his video game powers are kept in check to a level more representative of the films, I agree that I'd be in favor of having his adventures told on the big screen. As to whether Witwer's awareness of future projects a number of months in advance is an indication of his involvement in any future films, who can say? The kind of talk he was privvy to could have been commonplace around the entire TCW gang at the time.
I do remember him saying awhile back that he knew something but couldn't say or the Lucasfilm lawyers would destroy him
I think a Starkiller movie is redundant. TFU is good in and of itself, and I see no reason to expand on it.
Starkiller TFU was the dumbest Idea ever. Good that they cancelled the third part of this idiocy which makes A NEW HOPE totaly obsolete.
The second game was a huge letdown, but I really enjoyed the first one. I know people complain about them going over the top with Force powers...but you know, it's a game. It would be considerably less fun if you had every duel like the one from ANH. I think we'll be seeing Witwer involved in Star Wars for many years to come, in various ways. I'd say that's a good thing, he's a great actor.
Just to be cler -- I endorse Witwer as a new character NOT reprising Maul or as a video game character. He "gets" SW and that should be included when casting begins.
The original TFUI Starkiller appears as a force ghost?. Or the Starkiller clone from TFUII is ''somehow'' still alive in the ST era?. Or there's always the third option.... HE'S NOT GOING TO BE IN THE NEW FILM!!.
If they do go ahead with TFU III, can I suggest they actually refine the camera, platforming and lightsaber mechanics first, and then start overloading ridiculous feats of POWAH that make Sidious look restrained? 'Cause I would have enjoyed TFU I and II but I was too busy rage quitting and loading up KotOR.
Same here. Not only that, but he's a solid actor and has a fairly unique look. Shave his head, make him pale(r), and you instantly have someone who looks like a Sith and can actually portray the menace to back up the visual.
