I'm continuing this here since there's no need for it to be discussed in the Darth Plagueis novel thread.

This survival theory and the discussion that has gone along with it is just baffling, but also strangely amusing.

    Please continue.

As soon as some actual credible proof is provided showing San Hill alive post-RotS, I'll concede the point. Until then, he's dead.

Okay I'll bite, why is there a thread for the survival of a character who had a very clear death at the hands of Darth Vader?

ARGH. Please don't make me go through this again. Here's the Sparknotes version of the original San Hill Lives argument:

    1) Throughout the final duel in ROTS, we see every angle of the floor space where the Separatists were killed. San Hill's body is the only one missing.

    2) While the deaths of all the Separatists were filmed for ROTS to varying degrees (even ones like Tambor which now only exist as rough-cuts in CGI), San Hill's death never was.

    3) He's in the game Empire at War: Forces of Corruption.

Might he be dead? Maybe. Is there evidence to make a legit argument for his continued existence? I think so. Certainly moreso than that Solo kid.

Ultimately, it comes down to the fact Julie Andrews wouldn't lie to me.

All Muuns are humans in the game, Pau'ans too.

There's no way he's a Muun to death!

The only evidence I see for him surviving is Empire at War.

The evidence I see for him dying is the RotS comic.

So, two contradictory sources. Since he's a Human in EaW, I'd personally say RotS seems more reliable. Just my opinion, though.

    More evidence for Hill's Survival,

The New Essential Guide to Alien Species:

It states that Muuns were one of the few nonhuman speicies to escape the opression of the Emperior's human-centric New Order. This is because of their impressive financial skills. Why have the one Muun that has better financial skills than any Muun killed? You don't get to be Chairman of the Intergalactic Banking Clan for nothing.

Muuns are Lucas's favorite Star Wars species, or one of them anyway:

It was his idea for Darth Plagueis to be a Muun.
Muuns show up as far back as the Star Wars Holiday Special Boba Fett cartoon.

    Muun Anatomy:

They have three hearts, nuff said. [face_laugh]
I seriously doubt Anakin/Vader knew this, he wasn't a doctor.

"Dammit Master, I'm a Sith Lord, not a Doctor!"

I would like to point out that there are alternative interpretations of this image. For example, there could have been a giant, incontinent bird just off camera...

Are we seriously doing this? Fine I'll throw some arguments in there.

Financial skills have absolutely nothing to do with surviving a lightsaber-wielding madman. Why have the supposedly most powerful Jedi in the Galaxy fall to the dark side? Characters don't have happy endings just because they're in a good position. Somehow I don't think they're going to give San Hill a reprieve just because he's a good banker. That makes no sense.

Well this is the flimsiest argument I've ever heard. Lucas likes Muuns, so San Hill must survive. Sorry but I don't buy it, especially since San Hill died at Lucas's pen. Just because Lucas decided Plagueis was a Muun does not mean all Muuns now get a "Get out of Death Free" card.

Well well well, apparently the novelisation actually states that Vader stabbed each of his three hearts. I could be wrong, I don't have a copy handy, but even if we go by the comic, he gets struck across the neck. I don't care how many hearts you have, there's very little you can do with no head.

    That's gold, RF, Gold!

Didn't the comic also have Nute Gunray getting his head sliced off? If it can be wrong on such an important fact (the move supersedes the comic) then I don't see why the lack of a body in the RotS movie can supersede San Hill's death in the comic.

FACT #1: San Hill is clearly killed in the RotS novel.

FACT #2: The RotS novel is 100% canon (just like every other novel). Yes, there can be times were things don't jive in the EU, but they made it a point to let us know he is dead.

    END RESULT: San Hill is dead. This theory about him being alive is as ridiculous as the goofs that thought Cade Skywalker knocked up Darth Talon or that Darth Bane actually defeated Darth Zannah at the end of DB:DoE. Seriously, what causes some of you to think like this? 8-}

While I agree with your reasoning, this kind of thinking is the nature of fanaticism and it is extremely amusing.

I don't really care about San Hill, but I have my fanatic viewpoints on other subjects.

Seriously? This argument is SERIOUSLY still going on?

    What's next?

[YularenVoiceOver]News flash! Alderaan wasn't really destroyed! It and its inhabitants were instead sent to the land of magic sparkle-ponies in what merely LOOKED like an explosion! Rebels fully aware this had transpired, and massive cover-up ensues![/YularenVoiceOver]

Let's look at the facts here:
Two sources (ROTS comic, ROTS novel) showing San Hill being slain + ZERO sources stating he's still alive=
    [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/8/88/Cliegg.jpg]
"You're dead, San. Just accept it."

[face_worried] I blame it on the passage where it said she looked as if she was unfamiliar with her body...
