VERY exciting ending in St. Louis tonight. The Blues went on the power play with almost exactly 2 mins left with San Jose only leading by one. But the Sharks held on and beat the power play and won the game. Now we wait to see how Anaheim does to see if SJ can get within one point!

All teams experience a losing streak at some point (or points) in the season. I guess this is one of those times for the Sharks. [face_plain]

The Sharks have just been on a tear the last few weeks. They have a ten game point streak going on right now and are only two points out of 1st Place in the Pacific (again)!

Even though the Sharks lost tonight in Carolina, they played an incredible 3rd period. It was pretty exciting.

Come on, Sharks! I see they're losing steam after blowing leads against the Red Wings twice! Guerin needs to catch on fire, and Joe needs to keep up his game. I'm worried that they won't pull out of this one. But I still believe, so let's go!

Oh, and way to beat Nashville! [face_dancing] That was great. Go Sharks!

Wilson has said countless times that he doesn't want the team compared to last year. But that's hard to do when they're doing the exact same thing as they did before. That first Detroit goal with 5 secs left in the 2nd period in game 4 was the turning point in this series and if the Sharks will have a long summer to think about it if they don't pull off something amazing at this point.

You are asking for it, you bum! :p
But I have to hand my congrats to the wings; they played a whole lot better than the sharks, who are now the supreme chokers of the league. :_| maybe next year.

    oh crap!

The Sharks were just playing pitifully these last three games. The Wings earned their victories. If San Jose really wants the Cup they need to work on their endurance for next years playoffs. What they really needed this playoffs though was a consistent power play. They had like the 2nd in the league for the season but once the playoffs started they just fell apart. :(

Anyway, congrats to the Wings. I'm rooting for them now cuz there's no way I want Anaheim to win. :p

The Sharks unveiled their new logo today. I had heard that they were changing it a few weeks ago and had prepared for the worst but I'm actually pleasently surprised by the new look. Anybody else have any thoughts?

    Changed their logo?!?!?!

Why they hell would they do that?

This new one has a nice updated look, but I'd prefer the original. I guess this means the San Jose Sharks now have a "vintage" jersey. Has the striping changed too?

I've heard that they will be showing off their new jerseys in early September. But that isn't as big a deal as every team in the NHL is getting new jerseys.
