Scars Of The Empire

Fifteen years have passed since the fateful battle of Endor, where the great Galactic Empire was brought to its knees. The New Republic has risen from the ashes of the core worlds, and its influence has gradually spread toward the outer rim. A new government has been established on wobbly legs. However, in the mid and outer rim, the battle between the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant rages on. One of Palpatine?s many clones has assumed command of the Imperial Remnant, and appears to be hell bent on taking back what he feels is rightfully his. Will he succeed? That?s for you to decide.

Bio: Maverick Hawk is a native of Naboo, born only a few years after the old republic was destroyed. At a young age, he showed exceptional skill with a blaster, andgood leadership abilities, and so was admitted into the army of the Galactic Empire, as a way to ensure the safety of his parents. He graduated the imperial sharpshooting academy the top of his class, and quickly rose through the ranks to become a trusted general in the imperial military. Recently, he was put in charge of the Bespin attack force.

Bio: Trained as a Jedi Youngling in the old republic but slowly grew to hate the jedi order, at the age of 13 he confronted his master and somehow beat him, he thenwandered the galaxy for 2 years, until he was found by a beutiful female sith lord who took him to the darkside, the two soon fell in love and studied the dark arts together for several years on their hidden planet, until the founding of the empire. The empire discovered them and sent a entire fleet of Star Destroyers the amassed defensive fleet fought bravley but was eventually defeated, and the planet bombarded, Azrael only survived by his love and master freezing him in carbonite and sacrificing herself. Azrael thawed out not long ago and has decided to take the galaxy for his own

Bio: Mel Jaden was brought up by the slums of coruscant. She doesnt remember her parents ? ever having some. The only thing that resembles some sort of family were the other slum kids, which whom she always picked fights. Always fighting for survival made her a very strong and wity young woman. Somehow she was always a step ahead of the others, trusting her gut instinct was always the best choice for her, like something was telling her what to do.
She had to kill her first guy when she was 13 years old in self defence. Ever since then she wears a blaster on her right hip. She worked in a repair shop and seems to be quite the starfighter mechanic.
Her name appears in the republic military. She enlisted to get out of the slums but had authority issues and left. Not much is known of her after that.

Bio: Jimmy grew up in Coruscant as a small child. His parents were Imperial and they said he was destined for the big ships. They filled his mind with images of Star Destroyers, frigates, and other capitol ships. They even gave him an introductory course to ship to ship tactics. His friends were older than him, and when he was 10, they were enlisting in the Navy. Then Endor happened. He got word that his friends had fought and died. Jimmy threw all his knowledge of the being good to the Empire away. His parents tried everything to rebrainwash him, but it didn't work. At 12, two years later, he stowed away on a ship to Tatooine and stayed there until he got word of the New Republic. The New Republic forming. He was 16 when he left back for Coruscant. He found out his parents had died in the battle for Coruscant, and he didn't have sympathy because he still remembered what the Empire did for his friends.

Upon his return, he got hired in a crew for a small frieghter that did jobs for the New Republic, and at 21, he managed to gain a YT-1300. His ship was named Bucket of Bolts[/b]. It didn't suit well for long, though, because the ship got weapon and engine upgrades, as well as more cargo capacity. He started taking freelance smuggling jobs for the New Republic. That's what he's doing, and his job is getting tougher with the increase in the Remnant.

Bio: Palpatine was the supreme ruler of the most powerful tyrannical regime the galaxy had ever witnessed, yet his roots are extremely humble, traced back to the peaceful world of Naboo.
Before his rise to power, Palpatine was an unassuming yet ambitious Senator in the Galactic Republic. Palpatine saw the Republic crumbling about him, torn apart by partisan bickering and corruption. All too common were those unscrupulous Senators taking advantage of the system, growing fat and wealthy on a bureaucracy too slow to catch them.

Palpatine's moment of opportunity came as a result of a trade embargo. The Trade Federation, in protest of government measures that would tax their outlying trade routes, blockaded and invaded Naboo. Naboo's planetary leader, Queen Amidala, rushed to Coruscant for Palpatine's aid. Together, the two pleaded to the Senate for intervention, only to see their request stalemated by Trade Federation filibustering. Frustrated by the government's inability to do anything, Queen Amidala acted upon Palpatine's suggestion, and called for a Vote of No Confidence in the Republic's leadership.

Chancellor Valorum was voted out of office, and Palpatine was soon nominated to succeed him. The crisis on Naboo prompted a strong sympathy vote, and Palpatine became Chancellor. He promised to reunite the disaffected, and bring order and justice to the government.

Despite his promises, the Republic continued to be mired in strife and chaos. A decade after his nomination, Palpatine's Chancellery was faced with the challenge of a popular Separatist movement led by the charismatic leader, Count Dooku. Many in the galaxy feared that the conflict would escalate to full-scale warfare, but Palpatine was adamant that the crisis could be resolved by negotiation.


The Separatists didn't agree. Upon the discovery of a secret army of droids, it became apparent that the Separatists were on the verge of declaring war against the Republic. To counter this, the Republic needed a military, and Palpatine required the authority to activate the Republic's newly forged army of clones. To that end, Senators loyal to Palpatine motioned that the Chancellor be given emergency powers to deal with the Separatist threat.

With spoken regrets, Palpatine accepted the new mantle of power. He promised to return his absolute authority to the Senate after emergency subsided. What no one realized was that the galaxy would undergo further upheaval, and that a state of crisis would ensure Palpatine's authority for decades.

The indications of his future regime were subtle at first. Palpatine's term as Chancellor ended during the rise of the Separatists, but that crisis allowed him to extend his stay in office. Once the Clone Wars erupted, the Senate's inability to efficiently wage war on scattered fronts forced him to enact executive decree after executive decree. He added amendments to the constitution funneling more power to him, effectively circumventing the bureaucracy of the Senate.

The public and the Senate willingly gave up their rights and freedoms in the name of security. Under Palpatine's guidance, the war would be won, and the Republic would be safe. The monstrous specter of General Grievous leading an assault ensured that few questioned Palpatine's growing authority.

The Jedi Council was among the wary. As an instrument of the Senate and the people, the Jedi order resisted Palpatine's direct control. This tension grew as the war escalated. Some in the Senate also quietly whispered their misgiving. Palpatine knew of a delegation of concerned Senators, and he would deal with them in time.
