Welcome to the new Scattergories game thread! I'm your host, taking over for NYCitygurl. There has been one minor change from the original, so please read over the introduction again if you are a returning player. The basic premise of the game is that players are given a list of twelve categories and a letter. They have to write down something in that category that starts with the chosen letter. Players get a point for each correct answer, but if they have the same thing as someone else, neither gets a point for that category. For instance: Host picks the letter ?A.? Categories include are fruit, TV characters, and JC board users. Fruit: apples TV character: Astro (The Jetsons) JC user: AmazingB The answers have to be something well-known or easily found on the internet. For things like fictional characters the name(s) of book/movie/etc. it?s in and book/movie/comic book titles, name(s) of author(s) and possibly Amazon link are nice. If the host can?t find the answer after a quick search, you lose the point. Names of people can be first or last, but no person can have a title count in their name (example: King Edward cannot be used for "K") Players have 48 hours to fill up their sheets and PM the answers to the host, who will then post the answers and count up points. This continues for 3 rounds. At the end of the 3 rounds, the winner gets 24 hours of colors, losers don?t get banned. Late lists will not be counted. All answers must be PMed at the same time to the host. No partial lists or corrections, please. For this first round, there can be up to six players. After signups conclude, I'll post the categories and the letter you have to use. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. [hr] The first few rounds will be played with 6 players, just so I can adjust to hosting. After I get my feet wet a bit, we?ll bump it up to 10 players, like in the last thread. I currently have four ?Category Lists? which I will rotate through, changing it every three games. Nat?s original list is included in this.
