While I thought it was cool, I was very disappointed that there was no relation to Star Wars. With all the ideas that were posted here, and all consisting of something with a punchline structure, I think this would have been way better if they had battled with crazy magic powers, each one countering the other's attack, and when they see that their powers will not lead them anywhere, they grab sabers, and cut to the logo.

On the other hand, when this website becomes for all kinds of fanfilms -not only SW- like announced a while back, it's cool that way. :)

... the search pages suck. You can't even see multiple pages of results. Clickie, anyone (or a bump)?

Don't know what page it was on... That's not the way I look for threads like this one. Knowing who started it, I went to see Azeem's latest messages, selected the ones posted in fanfilms only and searched from there with a vague idea of the date.

Of course if you'd ask me for the forum's 128th thread asking about lightsaber sounds, it wouldn't have worked. ;)

Wow... looks interesting... and old ;) It'd be cool to have fanfilms.com at least have a directory of other film genres.

But back to the topic... yes, your bumper would work for a corss-genre connercial, though if that's what you were going for it'd seem better if it was "fanfilms.com" instead of "theforce.net".

    Here's an idea...

Show the Star Wars Kid. He's jumping around doing his thing. Fade out.

    TEXT: He's funny isn't he?

Fade if for a few seconds, then fade out.

TEXT: Well, would you like to know what's funnier?

Fade back in for five (or so) seconds. Show a four-frame-long shot of Broken Allegiance, go back to Kid, four-frame-long shot of Troops, back to Kid. Fade out.

TEXT: We've been doing it for years.

    *show TFN FanFilms logo*

Aww, come on, that was a good one, considering all the hype he got. I think this deserves at least one *bump*.

    INT--SUBURBAN HSE--DAY

Besuited husband comes in the front door behind his wife who looks nervous.

    HUSBAND: Hi, honey--
WIFE: Oh, Bill, I'm so glad you're home. I need to talk to you. I was cleaning Carl's room, and I found...well...
HUSBAND: (still smiling)What? Did he buy an Eminem CD?
    WIFE: No...
    HUSBAND: (growing apprehension)A Playboy?
    WIFE: ...no...
    HUSBAND: (really worried now)Drugs?
    WIFE: ...no...it's...well...

(She goes over to a drawer, opens it and takes something out. We can't see it. Husband reacts. She hands the item to him. He raises the object in front of him, which we see is a lightsaber for the first time. He pushes a switch. Snap-hiss and a red blade ignites.

    CUT TO:

CLOSE SHOT--HUSBAND LOOKING UP AT THE CEILING
    HUSBAND: (a la Tarzan) CAAAARRRRLLL!!!

    CUT TO:

    MED SHOT--CARL

A 17-ish kid looks up, startled, from his computer. He wears a Star Wars T-Shirt. Looks a lot like Ryan_W ;)

CUT TO TFN Films Logo with SERIOUS ANNOUNCER VOICEOVER: Teach your kids about fanfilms. Before we do.

    CUT TO:
    MED SHOT--CARL AND HUSBAND

HUSBAND: (wagging the lightsaber hilt at Carl) We do not have red saber blades in this house, young man!

    CUT TO BLACK.

that's pretty cool, saint. Although I would probably alter it to say lightsabers instead of red saber - he may end up with a green one next time....

Are you going to have that serious "my kid is on drugs" music for the background? That's a nice one. :)

I wanted to ask before, but has anyone thought of the name "My friend has a camera" Productions?

Well pre production is almost finished on our lil bumper. We have 2 more parts of the set to build, and finish the last few costumes and we are good to go.

Heres a lil teaser info on the main set to look at.

ummm... is that a bumper for TFN or is it a plug for your own matrix fanfilm? I saw nothing about TFN on that page.

    *not worth a clickie*

Um dude, i stated in my post thats its a TFN bumper, I mean we are just gettign done with the first set so we dont have a whole lot to post just yet. Second Isnt a TFN bumper a fan film in its own anyway, hence the mention of PRE PRODUCTION, just because you dont like doesnt mean you need to state "Not worth a clickie", let everyone make up thier own minds. If everyone liked the same movies about the same stuff none of us would be into movies the way we are....

Well now that my rantings done, I hope some of you enjoy it, I mean its one thing to SAY your doing a film, its another to show the progress to let people know you are actually doing it :)

SMile and keep checking we will post more as we get more...
