I will be trying my hand at my first costume ever! I figure that since we are doing that panel at Starfest I ought to at least try to look like a jedi or sith or something.

I have all the materials - the La Junta walmart even had that cool material that Obi-wan's tunic is made out of. My biggest problem is the belt... I have a cool brown leather belt but it just has these ties in the middle and is no where near as thick as the correct Jedi ones. Can I just go with it anyway? Can I be just a random Jedi with poor fashion taste?

    Hey All

There are many different members who can actually make you a belt. You would have to pay for the materials and possibly the time to make it. But usually it is very worth it. If you have any questions or want to get a hold of a person to make you one let me know. And I will see if anyone has time to whip one out for you.

    Later days...

I figured you all were extremely busy for C3!!!

Can I get the leather and the buckle piece in Pueblo? I could make it myself...just hadn't thought of it.

Ok, I have put this off long enough. Would it be ok if someone new attended a few meetings before E3-Day. I want to do a costume to tribute to Alec. I have a robe-its dynamite, I think I still have my boots. The rest of the costume is a bust. I plan on dying my hair and beard white. Hopefully the complete picture. So basically I need to buy the material and a few small things to complete. Could someone help out and in return will help with anothers costume in any way I can. It the perfect movie and time to do it and it just seems right.

Well...we are going to be costuming tonite, then that will be the last one at our house for several weeks. Next wednesday we will be in INDIANAPOLIS!!! and then the wednesday after that is just before starfest and I think we will all be dead to the costuming world.

This was mainly for CIII/starfest that we were having it this often....

I'll bet your costumes will be great! Any advice on where I can find a pattern for Alec's robe, it was unique. Any advice on the utility belt would be the last piece I think. He was my favorite actor so Star Wars was just a plus. I'm going with two other people and want to be as close as possible. I can hire a someone to handle the making part, now I wish I could have started earlier-sounds like yall have a blast.
