We are SO doomed. I'm all for going back to hunting and gathering.

 

See, that's the thing - we need to be very careful with these kinds of discoveries. I honestly think that our race can handle it, but we need to make sure that stuff like this isn't abused. Of course, there will always be those practitioners out there who'll do anything for the almighty dollar, but the public needs to be EDUCATED about these things in order to curb that.

yeah... there'll be scandals in sports for unauthorized bionic enhancement, hmo's that won't pay for replacements or cover them as 'pre-existing condition', laws biased against the handicapped, abuse in the law enforcement sector through implanted surveilance equipment, children who have cranial implants so they can be babysat by the internet...
