Scott Peterson trial moved

The trial of accused murderer Scott Peterson has been moved from Stanislaus county,CA to San Mateo county because the judge has decided that the man who allegedly killed his wife and unborn child cannot get a fair trial in Modesto because all the local media coverage has created a "lynch-mob attitude" in the city,as defense attorney Mark Geragos put it. Was this the right thing to do? Will it ultimately make a difference in the trial?

 

I think they allowed the case to move so the defense wont be able to complain about biased juries and/or court personnel after a guilty verdict. Supposedly, this retired judge they are using for Peterson is on the soft side with defendants, though. Nothing at all wrong, but hopefully it will be a fair trial for both sides.

I think the bigger concern is that Geragos will put Peterson on the back burner because of the Michael Jackson case. Jackson has deeper pockets, after all.

 

Murder is just a myth propogated by the paper industry.
