I am fighting a battle and loosing.
A aptch of neurodermatits on my right wrist keeps itching like hell. So i scratch and that feels so good. Almost as good as scratching anotehr itch - so resistance is futile. unfortunately.

I keep scratching until I bleed. Very bad idea.
I have creams to heal, but they don't do anything about the itching.:_|

    What can I do?
I considered lopping off the hand, but I need it to type.

    Impractical, especially at work.
But maybe using ice-spay or something to cool/numb it would work.:D

What's to stare? I really like the idea.
If it's numb, it cannot itch, right?
No itching -> no scratching -> no bleeding.

    Sounds good to me.:D

And you don't want to know what else I have tried so far.[face_plain]

Easy things like bandages, clipping my nails really, really short, and sleeping with my hands ties behind my back.
    To name just some.

    Did these work...

I am intrigue by the tied hands...

I don't think I could sleep with hands tied behind back...

    Yes and no.
The bandages work fine, but I don't feel like running around with them. People ask questions and it's embarrassing. [face_blush]

Also, sleeping with your hadns tied is not nice. Also, getting your hands tied behind your back all by yourself is a bother, and trying to remember to pull one hand out of the knot before really falling asleep abnout impossible.[face_plain]

Nail clipping doesn't work. there's always some kind of edge left with which to scratch.:(

    Just neurodermatits.
And it's not gone. it barely ever is gone completely. Maybe because it's stress-induced. Suddenly having to to an inventory instead of having days off could do that to me...

Working on the symptoms doesn't help. Will have to remove the cause.
I hope it will get a lot better in my holiday...

Where are you going on a holiday, Lanna?

If it's somewhere without mosquitoes that should help a lot. :)

I'll be going to Bulgaria. My parents rent a flat over there. Very nice, you can see the sea to three sides, close to the beach and everything is cheap.[face_love]

No mosquitoes, but giant grass hoppers.

That sounds beautiful, Lanna. I would love to travel to that part of the world someday. Is it on the Black Sea?

HP like Harry Potter? I surely will.[face_frustrated]

It is beautiful and at the black sea. It is also a real village, though a bit overcrowded in the season.

It will be the middle of high seaosn, so thousands of people. But that's okay. As long as I get my space on the beach.
