San Fran, CA SDCC G4TV Video Shoot

I received information last week that G4TV is looking for costumers to do a video shoot.

This is the info I have so far. I will post more as I find out:

*Friday July 21st between 5-7pm.
*Open to all costumers. It isn't Star Wars specific. So wear what you want to show.
*It will be a Fashion Show type theme video shoot.
*Location TBD
*No promises but I have asked if we can get as early as possible shoot time for costumers attending the 501st dinner.

Let me know if anyone is interested and what costume you would like to show off.

 

Where is this taking place? It's happening during ComicCon though.

 

Waitaminute...you didn't tell me it was ALL costumes..not just SW. Hrmmm...now I may have to rethink things. Although that morning is the RL photo shoot..I may have to switch out to debut my other other costume.

yeah g4tv specifically Attack Of the Show is gonna be at SDCC. hopefully they will be taping live just like e3. that means olivia munn will be there too!!

 

Stupid me! I thought SDCC was a TV station!

 

All this G4 talk makes me miss TechTV I wish I could be at SDCC though anyway.

 

Looks like 501st troopers may not make it to this shoot. I had to let LFL know of this shoot and was told there will be a big shindig from 4:40 to 5:50 in Hall H. They need all the troopers they can get.

 

That's probably for the Star Wars Spectacular Presentation by Stve Sansweet.

 

Ohhhkay....hopefully LFL needs pilots. I kinda hate it when they say troopers and they only want clean TKs.

So it looks like Jedi in the morning for the RL photo and TIE in the afternoon.

OK here is an update. Hopefully this will give ample time for everyone to plan accordingly.

Lawrence Green of SCg and I have worked out another G4 Video shoot for Comic Con. This is great news especially for those of us who most likely will not make it to the G4TV Friday Live feed. We will have a special "guest trooper" filling in for taping a special segment for Attack Of The Show. I won't mention who it is but some of you can probably guess. You will just have to show up to see for yourself who it is.

Because of the nature of the shoot, only a select limited number of troopers will be allowed inside the hotel for taping. It will be in a private room after all. I apologize in advance for not being able to get more people inside. However don't threat, as we will be moving the shoot outside as soon as the interior taping is done.

When: Thursday July 20th Aproximately 9AM
Where: If you're 501st or have a SW costume, meet in front of the Omni to escort our guest trooper to the con
What: Escorting our guest trooper and interacting with fans in line and possibly inside at the con.
Why:To show the world how much fun it is to be in the 501st/SW Costume. OK maybe not the whole world, but at least the G4TV audience demographics.

Be at the G4 booth between 3:30 and 7PM.

 

Thanks for the info Elmo. I take it the meet time of 3:30 at the G4 booth is for the original Live Friday show?

At the very least I'll try to hang outside the hotel to get a glimpse of the taping if I feel up to it that morning! Makes me wish I had a respactable costume for these kinds of things I'm too little for stormtrooper armor though. All the more reason I guess to consider making a pilot uniform or some other non-face character costume that I can more easily get away with.

Very cool "Elmo". I quickly glanced at my DVR recording of the Comic-Con footage (just to make sure it recorded OK), but I need to go back and actually watch it. It was fun to see some familiar Rebel and 501st members though.

Yes she is. She impressed all of us by going for almost 5 hours in the armor. She would have went all day if she could, but the producer had to wrap it up to edit the video for the live feed.

The next day at the live feed, she showed me all the bruises behind her legs she had from the armor. She was very proud of them

I sent the links to Mike and Ian. We have permission from G4 to post them.

 

is that g4 taping available for download? i want to save it and view it on my psp

 

Not that I'm aware of. You could look in your browsers cache and see if you can save it. Otherwise, look for it on the GGG site maybe in a few? Depends on if the command staff decides to post it up. Also look for the extended version of the video soon to be on a new pilot show on G4. There are sooo many scenes they need to show that are hilarious. Should be a fun show to check out.

 

I received a copy of G4's AOTS Live at Comic Con yesterday featuring my now world famous armor in the 501st Stormtrooper Bootcamp skit. PM me if you would like a copy. Paypal Donations of $3.00 gladly accepted to cover materials and postage.
This is the non air version. Unlike the aired show, this does without the headers that run on the bottom of the feed and no pop-ups. You can also hear the microphone checks sometimes during the slots where the commercials would be. Yes I have permission to make copies and distribute from the producers I just can't make money off of them.. phooey.

 

Thanks for the DVD, Elton. It's a cool way for those who couldn't attend see how crazy it was down there. It also doesn't hurt that I noticed some familiar faces too.
