Would anyone like to see a sea battle in Episode 3? Maybe on the world of Kamino have new sea vehicles attacking the Cloning facilities? What does everyone think of this idea?

yeah i think that could work. One thing is for sure and that is george has to get back to the bread and butter of the SW movies if he is going to salvage this triology, and part of that is going to be more action expecially space battle, and maybe the sea battles would help too.

I don't think we will see a sea battle, although it would be neat to watch.

A sea battle? That would be interesting and NEW to the saga. But I would prefer GL to stick with land/space battles.

EXT: KAMINO ocean. A CLONE facility is visible in the background. A SEPERATIST vessel crashes through the waves...

CAP'N DOOKU: Ahoy there, me droid mateys. We be closing in on the cursed island o' death.

BATTLE DROID: Jolly Roger Roger. Vessel off the starboard side, roger roger.

CAP'N DOOKU: Blast! It be those jedi scum. Today they be sent to their watery graves, aye.

(DOOKU turns, and pokes his eye on the pointy end of the nearest battle droids blaster, and wears an eye-patch for the rest of the scene.)

Meanwhile, on the good ship Tantive

CAP'N OBI-WAN: Look master! It be Count DOOKU's ship, the Black Sith! And she's coming around.

ADMIRAL YODA: Hmmm. A strange move for DOOKU, this be. To be boarded, prepare we must.

CAP'N OBI-WAN: Boarded, master? Never! We will fight to our watery graves. Prepare the port-side laser cannons!!

FIRST MATE MACE: Aye aye, Cap'n. This party's just getting started.

CAP'N OBI-WAN: (rolls his eyes) Steady as she goes, Mister Skywalker.

SECOND MATE ANNIE: Aye aye, Cap'n.

    FIRST MATE MACE: Man overboard!!

(All rush to the side of the ship and look over, where they see JAR-JAR floundering in the water)

SECOND MATE ANNIE: Its OK...JAR-JAR is a great swimmer. He'll be fine.

(Suddenly there is a surge of water, and a KAMINO whale surfaces and swallows JAR-JAR, and disappears again).

CAP'N OBI-WAN: Thankfully, there is always a bigger fish.

ADMIRAL YODA: Ahoy! Pulling alongside, DOOKU's ship is!!

FIRST MATE MACE: This party's about to start.

CAP'N OBI-WAN: Will you shut UP!! All hands on deck! Prepare for boarding!

(MACE grabs the nearest rope and prepares to swing across to the other ship. He tries to place his lightsaber between his teeth, and neatly slices off his own head)

ADMIRAL YODA: A heroic death, that was not. Died like a chump, he did.

SECOND MATE ANNIE: Master YODA!! Look out!

(A swarm of PIRATE DROIDS leap onto the ship, and are met by equal numbers of JEDI and CLONE troopers. A ferocious battle ensues. Lightsabers and lasers flash through the ocean spray, and many bodies fall over the side to their watery graves. CAP'N OBI-WAN and newly promoted FIRST MATE ANNIE fight beside each other, slashing left and right. Meanwhile, a black figure appears behind YODA.)

CAP'N DOOKU: Well, Admiral...we meet again. You're a cunning old sea-dog, but this time your pathetic crew are no match for my PIRATE DROIDS. Prepare to die. This duel will be shorter than you.

ADMIRAL YODA: Forget one thing, you do, DOOKU...for good depth perception, an eye-patch does not make.

(He slashes his lightsaber in a quick, forward motion, peircing DOOKU's chest, who falls over the side to his watery grave.)

CAP'N OBI-WAN: Well, he was right about one thing master. The duel was shorter than you!

FIRST MATE ANNIE: (throws his lightsaber to OBI-WAN) I want my son to have this, when he's old enough. I'm joining the dark side. They need a new captain. Bye. (He swings across to the Black Sith, but lands between two power couplings, and is burnt beyond recognition, but crawls away in pain across the deck.)

CAP'N OBI-WAN: I keep telling him about those power couplings, but he never listens.

(The two ships seperate and sail away from each other. ADMIRAL YODA and CAP'N OBI-WAN stand on the poop deck, looking at the sunset.)

CAP'N OBI-WAN: Well master...after this, the last thing I want to see in a long time is more water. I'm thinking about spending some time off on Tattooine, the largest beach in the galaxy.

ADMIRAL YODA: Wrinkles my skin, the sun does. To my home planet of Dagobah I will go, from where my species comes.

CAP'N OBI-WAN: Good idea. But what about the prophecy, and bringing balance to the FORCE?

ADMIRAL YODA: Solved that problem, I have. Tee hee hee hee.

(Two CLONE troopers appear from below decks, with PADME struggling between them.)

ADMIRAL YODA: To my quarters, take her. Remember OBI-WAN, tell ANAKIN you must, that the father he is. Tee hee hee hee.

    END SCENE

It doesn't necissarily have to be Kamino, it could be Alderaan as well, or didn't Alderaan have any seas?

I think it is an excellent idea by the way!

According to Mr. McQuarrie´s concept art
and the book "The illustrated SW universe"
    Alderaan have seas.
I think the capital Aldera is placed in one.

And yes, it would be awesome with a seabattle in SW. But, unfortunately there is only SW film left(?), and there is so much that has to happen that i doubt there is time for one.

    ****Hyperspace Information warning****

I really like the Idea of having an underwater battle in EPIII, we've already seen the types of cool underwater craft they have in the galaxy in EPI, now let's put some rocket-launchers on them.

I believe the Hyperspace section of the OS has confirmed that there will be a few scenes in EPIII that take place beneath water, too.

    What?!

    Great!

Hmm...will it be Kamino, Naboo or a new planet?

A sea battle could be very cool but it may also suck pretty bad. I'd prefer a big space battle on par with the one in ROTJ.

what about something with the mon calimari's home world? dont' the quarren (squid head) and the mon calamari live on the same planet? an ocean planet? i think i remember reading something about them hating the empire and their huge battleships were all unique works of art in the old return of the jedi 'offical movie magazine'...underwater stuff could be really bad though...i love admiril akbar though...how about a baby akbar fighting boba fett (just kidding...ha ha)

    **Another Hyperspace Information Warning**

Actually, from what I can gather about the way it's been shot, I think this water battle will be inside a room that's being flooded, opposed to an ocean or something.

See "Hyperspace discussion thread" and take the whole matter there so people can have a decent chance?

Please no more Hyperspace spoilers thanks. This is a spoiler free forum. I don't want this thread being locked.

I'm guessing if we had a sea battle in Episode 3 is could happen on either Kamino, Alderaan or Mon Calamari since they are all water worlds.

Oh honestly, chill out. I put a warning, you don't have to read it if you don't want to. It's all speculation, anyway.

"either Kamino, Alderaan or Mon Calamari since they are all water worlds".

It´s the last Sw film and i want to see new places. So i would go for Alderaan because that´s the planet most likely to pop up in epIII.
Besides, i guess there are plenty of water planets in the SW universe for a battle to take place on.

Yeah if they do have a sea battle in Episode 3, I would want it on Alderaan or Kamino but Alderaan would be the best because it's a new planet we haven't seen before except from orbit.

That would look terrific. I've always liked the designs of the sea vessels in SW:GB and that's what got me thinking about having a sea battle in Episode 3.
