Season 1: Best to Worst

I thought this would be a cool thing to do, starting from season 1. Basically rank the episodes from your favorite to least favorite.

I'll post my list here, and I'll include the grade I gave each episode.

Great idea I once posted my list from best to worst episodes of the entire series, so I'll break it down into seasons. Season one was my least favourite season, so the grades aren't that high.

193/220 = 8.8/10

Overall I think season 1 is my 2nd lowest rated season as a whole, only in front of season 5. A lot of 8's and 9's for me here, not that many 7's or below. I think probably season 1 is the most consistent season for me.

 

Everything was bad, especially Bombad Jedi and Gungan General. And it got even more ridiculous!

 

Pretty much agree with all of this except maybe swap Jedi Crash's and Storm Over Ryloths ratings around

Most definitely my least favourite season of TCW, it was inconsistent in both tone and quality. We have awesome episodes featuring the harrowing trial of a batch of a clone rookies, an episode featuring Luminara and Nute Gunray being hilarious, and almost pre-CW feeling episodes like Trespass.

Then we have Jar Jar, and a german mad scientist stereotype.

Average Score* = 6.41 (141/220)

Season 1 was my lowest-rated season, I felt TCW was still trying to get its bearings. There was a great variety of storylines, but most of them felt somewhat disconnected from one another compared to later seasons. That said, there were plenty of episodes relating to the war at large, so it really felt like the Clone Wars.

*I originally scored some episodes with .25 or .75 at the end to further differentiate the scores, but I decided to round up or down to avoid confusion. I also rarely give an episode a full 10/10, it must really deserve it.

These ratings are all relative, since TCW is still fun at its worst. The Malevolence arc was just a bit bland for me, but I've never been big on space battles. This had some great individual episodes; everybody hates Blue Shadow Virus, but Mystery of a Thousand Moons is worlds better in my book.

 

Bombad Jedi was one of my favorites. I loved it so much!

 

Agree with most of your list, but Rookies has to be No. 1 for the first season.
