All this "Jedi are bad generals" talking has just one target. Twisting the minds of the clones. Giving them the impression that the Jedi are bad leaders which causes unneccassary loses amongst the clones. Palpatine would never do real actions to bring the jedi home. He is not stupid.

 

Hasn't it been done before when some aspects of the trailers are modified so that events in the arc are more surprising? Perhaps the colour of the blade Anakin is holding was changed from Blue to Green specifically for the trailer in order to lead away from Barriss (until you see the finale)

 

yes its possible. by using renderpasses they can change the color of certain objects easily and render just the object again. All the other stuff is not touched.

They do render in Multi channel EXR files. Those files are more advanced than usual PNG and can collect all information of the rendering process in one file/per frame.

 

While I realize that the blade color is different, the hilts are identical. Neither Ashoka, Ventress, nor any other known character has a hilt on the show like that. Crystals can be changed I suppose (though as far as I'm aware, it has almost never happened outside of a game).

GUYS! I think you're right! If you look at Anakin's right hand he has the glow of his saber on his hand, while on his left hand with the green lightsaber he has another blue glow on his hand.

Also notice how there seems to be a blue line around the saber, and if you notice the other shot here:



There is a green glow on Anakin's hand but that easily have been changed. There is still a blue glow on his left shoulder and on his face, aswell as on the wall.

 

yep, blu glow on a green lightsaber. its clearly noticable on Anakins left Arm.

Dave Fillioni basically confirmed Bariss is the villain in the new feature on the official site, if it wasnt obvious before.

 

Just a thought: maybe Barriss doesn't even get captured at the end of the arc but escapes instead?

 

I really really hope that's the case. She would be a great villain to come back later, especially as a rival for Asohka (assuming that she stays with the order)

I certainly hope that Barriss does escape and becomes a villain to be reckoned with. I kinda hope she is doing this more her own accord so she'd be that Jedi who switched sides based on good beliefs I've been waiting for. If they are going to do this they can atleast make it good and make it deep.

 

You just missed out the parts where I said that there is a blue glow where there should be green, and there is thin blue line around the saber.

 

It's either Barris or actually even possibly Aurra Sing.
And oppo is still gonna be lazy and skip out.

 

It's Barriss, Filloni basically spilled it in the commentary.

 

You see that was my big disapoinment with Dooku and making him a Sith, I wish instead that he had been kept good and doing it out of genuine belief in doing right (which in a way he would have been), they could have even have it split the Jedi, with half going over to the Separatists because of that same belief.
In a stroke it makes the War more personal and interesting, it would also have made his scene with Obi-wan better, rather than the standard join me routine by the bad guy they did and also makes Palpatine look smart as he essentially splits the Jedi in half and fight each other over it.

 

Why would it be Aurra Sing, it's obviously Barris.
