New title and this story has been edited. It's in the very beginning stages. Please let me know how you like the idea.
    ---------------------------------------------

?I need your help Obi-Wan.? Bail Organa?s face, although stoic could not hide the fear that rippled through the Force and washed over Obi-Wan. He was surprised, for he had never sensed those feelings coming from the Viceroy and Senator from Alderaan. He and Bail had been through many harsh battles in defense of the Republic ? and never once these feelings?

?This is not a military mission. It?s more of a personal favor.? Bail?s eyes dipped down for a moment. He did not feel right about asking Obi-Wan, but Obi-Wan was his only option.

In that moment, Obi-Wan knew. He quickly sat down beside the senator and clasped his hands together resting them on his lap.

?Is she alright?? Obi-Wan asked although he knew the answer.

    ?Yes, of course.?

    ?Then why the fear, Senator??

Bail quickly looked over to Obi-Wan. A quick smile escaped his lips. ?I forgot for a moment that you were a Jedi Knight.?

    ?I apologize. I didn?t mean to intrude.?

?Don?t. Fear is easily detectable and difficult to disguise.? Bail paused a moment then lowered his voice. ?I have a classified mission that I am undertaking soon, and my wife will take over the duties as Senator until my return.?

?If more protection is your request, then I will contact the Council immediately.?

?There is no need for that. Seraela has refused. She said the Jedi Council is dealing with more important matters now than protecting a former Jedi, but I insisted that she have some sort of extra protection when attending this meeting.?

    ?Can?t this meeting be postponed??

?I?m afraid not, old friend. The meeting is between the Loyalist committee and the Supreme Chancellor.?

    ?Who else??

?As well as representatives of the rebellion.?

    ?Dooku??

?No, but he will be dealt with shortly. My concern lay with the Trade Federation and Commerce Guild. We have tried desperately these past two and a half years to convince them to align themselves with the Republic. This meeting will prove the most important yet. We actually have a positive outcome within our grasp. And in light of Senator Amidala?s absence, Alderaan must be represented. Our voice must be heard.?

Obi-Wan knew Padmé and Bail and often spoke in one powerful voice. Their planets and cultures were quite similar, and therefore their viewpoints on the current crisis were identical. Obi-Wan understood, as Bail did, that an absence of both would prove harmful to the negotiation process ? and detrimental to this meeting.

Bail stood up and walked over to the ceiling to floor window that overlooked the sun rising above the chambers of the Galactic Senate. Obi-Wan watched him carefully ? knowing what Bail would ask next and Obi-Wan wondered if he?d have the strength to accomplish such a mission. There was more than protection to concern him with.

Bail turned around and faced Obi-Wan. ?I?m asking you, General Kenobi ? Obi-Wan. You are the only one she agreed to after I insisted.?

The Jedi stood slowly and walked over to Bail, his robes flowing gently behind him.

    ?Of course I will, Bail.?

?You?ve known her for a very long time, much longer than I have.? Bail paused and cleared his throat as tears began to form. ?I am trusting you to make sure my wife returns unharmed.? Then, Bail looked at Obi-Wan with the confidence that only a man of his stature could possess.

Obi-Wan sensed the intensity and strength of Bail?s love for Seraela, and in that moment as he studied Bail?s face he knew he could not fail. He would not fail his friend, nor could he fail the only woman he had ever loved.

It's a good story. You should try to describe things a little more but other than that its great.
