Senator Palpatine's first name

This may have been discussed elsewhere but I never saw any mention of Senator Palpatine's name in any of the PT. Any thoughts/answers?

It's one of those Yoda's race mysteries.

Anything you hear about either of these is either from SS or fan speculation, and therefore not canon.

 

Isn't Palpatine his first name anyway? Maybe it's like midevil times and you dont have last names. Maybe its a sith thing.

 

Palpatine and Dooku just don't have them.

If you think about it, it works out fine. For Dooku, he was kidnapped by the Jedi as a kid, so he wouldn't need a family name.

And Palpatine, well, how many guys named Palpatine can there be?

His first name is Frank, he says so in the movies.

EDIT: Dooku's title is Count, it is not his first name, like Count Dracula.
