Abq Sept Meeting - this Sunday the 18th!!

Just to remind everyone that our regular meeting is this Sunday at 2pm at the Ten Pins alley in Rio Rancho. Be there or .... not!

Symphony trooping - Sept 23rd and 24th. Final details and planning
DVD Release/Halloween
John Williams symphony event - Nov 5th (?) Not sure about trooping on this one..
Rio Rancho Holiday parade?
Normal banter & bickering ensues shortly thereafter...

we are getting a block of tickets together...it's $25/ticket. The performances are Friday and Sat (23rd & 24th)

Let me know tonight or early tomorrow if you want to buy and what date..need to turn in tomorrow to the symphony coordinator

Hey all, We know where the ten pins is. And I think we should actually be able to make our first meeting. I emailed someone about Mychael's birthday party on November 5th. I was wondering if any of you would be interested in coming dressed in garb for his party. He wants to have it at night so he can play with his light sabers. But this part is a surprise, so if your interested, just let me know at the meeting and I can give you more info then. I throw a pretty good party, and I am a great cook. (just trying to spice up the deal here, haha).

Just a reminder! This weekend!!!!!!

We probably will be first and foremost discussing the symphony etc. Since we have until Monday to order tickets, this will be a great chance to coordinate with everyone on tickets etc.

REMEMBER THERE IS ALSO A MANDATORY MEETING FOR ALL TROOPERS IN THE SHOW AT 6PM AT THE NM DANCE THEATER!

There's a few more items coming up as well...DVD/Halloween etc that we can start coordinating as well.

 

If meetings were on Saturday, i would attend. It is pretty far for me and i pay $200 for Sunday ticket so not watching football on Sundays is like throwing money out the window.

 

Gotta have your priorities!

I would like to ask the same question. Why have the meetings in Rio Rancho? I'm aware of the Bowling thing, but most members live in Albq. The group has grown considerably. Why not have the meetings outdoors at a park (if weather permits-Doplar updates a week in advance). Or maybe the library, again.

How did the displays do at the Bubonicon? What sold...how much? Just wondering.

Because the meetings start at 2, and many of the members have to start bowling at 3, it was decided that it was just more convienent to hold the meetings at the bowling alley rather than have half of the group leave 30 mins into the meeting to try and make bowling. We're only gonna have the meetings there until bowling is over, which IIRC is the first week of Nov, and then we'll move it back into Abq.

 

Yep...just a temporary thing in Rio Rancho. However, Leto/Skyra - what's the chances of having it at the library again? Although with the number of people we have we may have even outgrown that location ....

If anyone has suggestions for other locations in ABQ, please bring them up. We should start planning this before we're stuck in a park in Nov freezing our keisters off.

 

Guess what! Wook already knows about this, but four of us from the Outer Rim will be there tomorrow, since we're in town for the Battle of I-25. See you then!
