September Meeting

I'd like to get together and play some card games... But anyone else have any suggestions? Ohhh ohhhh!! we'll watch "The Star Wars Holiday Special Special Edition!" They extend the cyber sex scene with footage they couldnt finish, and they'll recut the jefferson starship video with a Foreigner video or maybe Lover Boy. Then they'll CGI Luke with even more girly makeup and officially make him a girl.

 

Are you talking Star Wars card games or were you talking cards, as in poker? I know we were talking about poker some at the last meeting, so I just wanted to be sure.

now that we have who and what, we need a where and when...

 

I may can host on either the 25th or 26th, mostly any time. I just need to know what's good for people so I can go ahead and make sure nothing else gets planned for me.

 

sunday is better for me because we're gonna be busy all day saturday the 25 with the toys r us event and the bbq afterwards.

 

Sometime Sunday would be better for me also. Dal, I know you plan on running out and buying your copy of the DVD trilogy on Tuesday, but don't forget to bring Catlin (sp, sorry) by to get a couple of pics on Saturday at Toys*R*Us.

Sunday will work out fine for me. I'll get back here later this weekend with a time. It'll probably be 1 or 2pm. I have church until noon and then we'll need to get the girls settled and fed. My wife may go to her parents with the girls afterwards, which will leave us ready to shuffle up and deal!

Kev - I imagine we'll swing by TRU and see what's happening on Saturday. What time will you all be out there?

 

I'll be there from 12 - 6pm.

Where: Dal--Intrepid's Horseshoe Casino
When: 2pm on Sunday, September 26th
Other Stuff: I'll supply some chips, drinks, etc. As usual, if you want to bring something, feel free. We can throw a Star Wars DVD or any other movie in the player for background noise while we play. I've got cards and poker chips, but bring your own sunglasses if you're gonna be hardcore!

Hey Dal, how do you get to your house again? Wasn't it somewhere out off of Firetower? Can't quite remember.

 

Technically it's off Corey Road, which is off Firetower. Turn at the intersection of Firetower/Corey where Covenant Church and Belle Meade Apts. are onto Corey. Take Corey about 2 miles. You'll pass a big brick church on the left called Faith Assembly of God - I'm the second left after that church. It's Vicksburg Subdivision. Go to the back of the sub, hang a right at the stop sign and I'm the only brick house on the left in the cul-de-sac. My cell is 717-6798 if you need to call.

 

Great time playing Texas Hold Em poker and Blackjack. Got my a** kicked at Poker, was okay at Black Jack. Dalton owned all of us the final round of poker loosing finally to Kevin H.

Had a great time. You guys are awesome. When I finally got home, I played with the kids and went to bed early. 11pm, well early for me.

Just want to say again that ya'll are a wonderful group people and Star Wars freaks. It is a pleasure for me to consider myself lucky enough to hang out with ya'll.
