    Here are some drawings I've done. I prefer to work with pencils and charcoals. I'll keep adding more once I finish them! :D I'm completely new to this whole putting art on here thing, so any hints about how to use links and stuff would be helpful!

    Oh yes, how do you get the image directly onto this forum instead of just a word link? I can't seem to figure out how to do that...

    It's [image=???] -- and where you have the ??? put the link to your picture. :D

    Anyways, lovely drawings, Serena! I love your picture of Padme in her meadow dress. :)

    I always love looking at fanart -- especially since I'm very bad at drawing. Can't even draw a straight line. :p

    [face_laugh] Amen to Idri's cant draw comment.

    And I love your drawings, Serena! I especially loved the first two pictures.

    You capture her so well... I'm really impressed.

    Idrelle_Miocovani I tried that, but it doesn't seem to work... hmm. Maybe it's operator malfunction. :p Is is just [image=] and then the link? Or do you have to put [/image] after the link? I'm conbaffled.

    MarasFire Thank you! Finally, people starting to call me Serena... one person actually called me a 'he'! I finally figured out that since my name doesn't have spaces, it's kinda hard to read, and therefore, I have to sign my name at the end. Thanks for the comments! I think drawing Padme is very challenging - I haven't tried Leia yet.

    Nope, it's just [image=] And it has to be linked to a page with just the picture on it. I forget what those are called, but here's an example:

    I have [image= http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/Idrelle_Miocovani/Map1.jpg]

    Get rid of the space inbetween the image and = and the space at the end before the ] and you get

    [image=http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/Idrelle_Miocovani/Map1.jpg]

    However, the page can't be something like this otherwise it doesn't work.

    See?

    [image=http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/Idrelle_Miocovani/?action=view&current=Map1.jpg]

    So, if you wanted to do your first pic as an image that we can see directly:

    [image=http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee31/Serena_Kenobi/IMG_1475.jpg]

    And if you're using photbucket (like you are) go to the page where you are actively viewing your photo and copy and paste the link in "Direct Link."

    Hope that helps and didn't confuse you (like I tend to do a lot of the time)! And I can't wait to see more drawings from you! :D

    Hi there Serena, and a slightly belated welcome to the Fan Art forum! I lurve your drawings of Padme! They're all wonderful likenesses (I myself find Natalie extremely difficult to draw, so props to you!), and your skills with shading and contrasts are excellent! The ink drawing is very...intense--I think it's the gaze! Just a tiny suggestion when drawing men (like Anakin)--keep the "lip line" very subtle, using more shading than line, and keep the lip tones very close the the rest of the face; it helps to give a more masculine appearance to the mouth. Wonderful drawings, and we'll look forward to seeing more!

    Thanks, FalconFan! Appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I agree with your comments about Anakin. I'm not all that happy with it; it was actually supposed to be someone else, but I copied it from an Anakin pic, so it doesn't look exactly like him. Lips, I think, are the hardest to do - especially teeth! GAH! I really don't like doing teeth at all, and guy's lips are really hard to get, too. Lots more practice might help... hehe.

    My next drawing will most likely be of Anakin and Padme together, or just Anakin.
    Anyway, thanks!

    Oh, I completely agree! **nodding** Drawing teeth makes mine grind--and I pretty much try to avoid them! LOL! ;) And yeah--men's lips are tough (but truly, I'm better at drawing men than women...)--the key is to really note the color (tonal) differences between men's and women's lips--that can help you determine how much contrast and tone to put down. I hope that helps with future work--and I'll be looking forward to the next piece! :D

    Ok, here's the new Padme and Anakin drawing I did. I took longer to post not because the drawing took longer, but because I just got surgery and was indisposed.

    Anyhoo, here it is!

    Hope you like!

    Oh, that's lovely Serena! I love how you've put ROTS Anakin in here, but in the AOTC pose with Padme--great job with the alteration in appearance! MUCH better with his lips, too--it seems the suggestion was helpful! ;)

    So sorry to hear you had surgery--I hope it was nothing serious, and that you're well on your way to recovering fully! **hand Serena flowers** Get well soon!

    Very nice drawings. It is just a wild guess, but are you a Padme/Anakin fan? :p

    Nothing wrong with that, they are the parents of my favorite Jedi Master. ;)

    You have done excellent work! Keep it up!

    Serena, you do such a lovely job with capturing likenesses. You seem to have a knack for drawing eyes and really translating the emotion from a picture into your drawings. Wonderful job! :)

    FalconFan: Flowers? For moi? Why thank you! Appreciate it! [face_blush] Yeah, I liked Anakin's hair much better in ROTS (I think we all do, lol) so I decided to change the piccy. Artistic license!
    Thanks!

    Dark-Sith_ofthe_Moon: Why thank you!

    academygrad88: Very good wild guess! =D= :D Luke's probably my fav Jedi Master too. Thanks for the comment!

    Obi-Dawn Kenobi Thank you, what a nice compliment! I do try to put emotions in - it's difficult to really capture the character of a person if you haven't met them - but we'll just pretend we've met the characters, n'est pas? ;)

    Next sketch posted soon! Probably within the next few minutes...

    Obi-Wan looks good! I hate drawing feet/shoes head on like you had to do with his left foot, but you handled it really great. And I know this might seem random, but I LOVE the piece of battle droid under his other foot. The way it's shaded and sketched is really lovely.

    Obi-Dawn Kenobi: Thank you! I agree, drawing feet is definitely one of the most difficult appendages to draw, especially when they're facing forward. I applaud any artist who can do this well. And I'm glad you like the droid! All I did was sketch it out and shade it over really quickly with a large tortillion. Thank you!

    TheOnlyJediPrincess: Thanks! I was pretty happy with the armor, too - I think that clone armor, especially the shading, is hard to get, and I think this one came out pretty well. Of course there's always room for more practice! The standing on the droid part, I'm sad to say, isn't my idea. The drawing is actually from a statue I found of Obi-Wan online. I just thought it would make a nice drawing.

    earlybird-obi-wan: Thank you!

    Here's sketch in pen of one of our favorite stormies!

    [image=http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee31/Serena_Kenobi/IMG_2616.jpg]

    Sorry about the image quality, but for some weird reason Photobucket's not working, so I can't fix it. And the print that was working wouldn't rotate upright, so I couldn't use it. Wouldn't want to have everyone craning their necks to see the piccy, now would we? :p

    Hope you like the Bucket-head, and let me know what you think!

    Always love the buckets :) Although your Padmé work is outstanding, the weird bulkiness of imperial armor seems like a challenge for you... But your armored Obi-Wan is great! Nice shading :) I especially like the stance and the alert expression on his face.

    Great work!

    Okay, this one was a bit of a challenge, since I did it all in permanent pen, and I couldn't change any mistakes. Here, people, is the Man In Black Himself, Lord Darth Vader!!

    Okay, I saw this photo online and HAD to sketch it. Hope you enjoy! I might do another one of this particular picture in pen.

    I also know that Leia doesn't look exactly like herself, but I wanted to give her a kind of cartoonish look. I'm experimenting!
