    Hi Serena!
I love your drawings! Some of them are pretty dark, but the pictures are still incredibly beautiful. The likeliness of the characters in astonishing!
And your christmas card is so cute! Love the baby Leia and Luke!

Chilla: Hey, Chilla! Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate the feedback!! I'm SO happy you like Luke and Leia - I drew them from my brain, which is rare. I usually use photos to guide me, but I couldn't find any for them, so I improvised. I'm flattered you think my likeness is good. Thanks!

    NYCitygurl: Thank you!

    Nice update, Serena! :)

I think you chose the perfect pose for the Twi'lek character. In a way, this character reminds me of Aayla Secura. Nice job highlighting the muscles in the leg and foot. It really helps to define the shapes! Keep up the great work!

Here's a sketch of Han I just did. Not too happy with the mouth, but when you're doing it in just pen, you can't really go back and do it over. Grr. Oh well. Hope you like!

Wow... that's so cool you did it all in pen! I would have personally botched the entire project. :p [face_blush]

Great work. I like it all, Serena! :)

Oooo! Love the one of Han Solo! =D= And your complaint about the permanence of pens is the very reason I don't personally use them! [face_laugh] I need a MUCH more forgiving medium...like graphite on paper! ;) You did a great job capturing his "scoundrel-ness" here--that classic glower, the brows and eyes. It's a great portrait! The Twi'lek is very pretty too--I love the way her eyes leap right out at me! Nice work!

Trika_Kenobi: Yeah, it's hard to do it in pen, and just a few months ago, I wouldn't have dared doing it without pencil first. But once I started doing it over and over, it just became easier. Still, pencil is more fun cause you can ERASE!! :D

NYCitygurl: Thank you! Appreciate it, Nat!

FalconFan: FF! You're back!!! [:D] [face_dancing] Yeah, graphite on paper is great, still my favorite medium. Thanks for the comments - appreciate them lots!!

Okay, I've gone on a Han/Leia run for the past few days. The first piece is my one of my fav pieces so far.

    Yay! Han and Leia!

Both drawings are nicely done! You have great likenesses in both and they're very life-like! I especially like the feel of the first one! Nice job! :)

Oooo!! [face_love] Aren't THESE just PERFECT for Valentine's Day?! =D= Two of my all-time fav interactions between Han & Leia (that kiss in the 'Falcon in ESB was probably the best, tho... **fans **** :p )! I think I like the first one best--just because the intensity of emotion on Han's face is so raw (GREAT job capturing that! =D=). The lines on both of these are so beautiful--very sure and bold... I wish I could work that way! :D Gorgeous work--and perfect for the challenge, both of them! [face_love]

NYCitygurl: Thanks, they're some of my favs, too. Appreciate it!

HanSolo29: I think Han and Leia make the best couple in SW, personally. Their relationship is awesome. And thank you! I'm glad you liked them.

ART2-D2: I use pencil, just regular HB or 2B. No, I don't use textured paper generally, normally I just use white sketch paper.

FalconFan: I know! Han and Leia are PERFECT for V'Day. Yeah, I LOVE that kiss in ESB... I watch that movie just for that, lol! [face_blush]:D Thanks for the comments!! I think YOUR work is incredible - I guess that's every artist's flaw - wishing they could be like someone else. Thanks, FF!

JediNat: Thank you! I appreciate it! I think everyone has their own style of drawing - don't base your work on mine. Everyone's is unique - I like seeing different interpretations.

    Appreciate it lots, people!

Here are some new drawings, some of which are inspired by the Clone Wars series. Enjoy!

A wonderful update, Serena! LOVE the one of Vos--we just don't see much fan art of him, and I think he's a very interesting character. This is a terrific "mood piece" of him, with that characteristic "glower" on his face... Very nice, all of them (but I'm liking that one the best!)!

I like the Vos drawing, best, too! I often like sketches better than finished things anyway, heh :p The Battle of the Heros is very nice, too-- very dynamic, and recognizable silhouettes.:)
