Did you ever watch Firefly, GG?

 

No, i don't have the channel it was on.

 

Well now that explains a lot.

 

I didnt get to see it (bloody cinema, only on at times when i couldnt go!)

As im getting the complete Buffy set for crimbo, i wont be able to have the firefly set aswell (ill buy it afterwards, along with the blackadder box set)

 

Finally seen this last night and I have to say I thought it was excellent

 

It's boring.

Can't believe people have the nerve to compare it to Star Wars.

 

Come on, it's Sci-Fi, it's after 1977, it's bound to be compared to Star Wars. Whoever does that is missing the point of having other Sci-Fi films...to keep things interesting. I thought it stood out as a good peice of Sci-Fi, not in the same league of Star Wars, but then what is?

You wouldn't lump Star Trek in the same catagory as Star Wars? They're so different. Same with Serenity. I'm of the mind that it's like a Western...with spaceships, and aliens, and other stuff. I've ran out of steam.

 

i saw it the other day too, but couldn't find this thread. i thought it was great too, with some genuinely funny moments in it. i don't see why it was compared to star wars either, but it was a great film. i was pretty shocked with what occurs towards the end.

Its hardly a spoiler saying someone is going to die! Just by looking at the film you can tell you ain't gunna the whole film without seeing someone snuff it. I was just making it into a bit of a joke.

Brought the film on friday. Havnt watched it yet (party last night) and i wont get to see it til tomorrow (party tonight aswell!)
