Yeah, massive clouds of Sahara desert dust making it all the way to the Caribbean is something we've been dealing with for a few years now, clogging our respiratory systems and making already hot summers decidedly hellish.

But is this due to this "climate change" fable? Nah. Perish the thought.

Diggy, holy crap. Imagine if that thing was a Cat. 4 or 5. I guess folks in the UK - just like down here - are seriously gonna have to rethink their construction codes if these ****** are going to be more common and frequent.

 

Absolutely. That won't be the only one. But why would it become more common and frequent? Everything is just fine, viddy.

I really didn't want to post a boring picture. Thought the dramatic overtones would be welcomed..

 

Don't you know? The old gods have forsaken us.

We've been overcast since yesterday and the evening sun had cast a similar glow through the clouds, making for a weird, pinkish/gray haze right before dusk.

 

I have spoken to God. And he has abandoned us.

 

I'm not a religious man, but considering the crap we've endured recently...yeah, it does feel like our sky friends of choice have abandoned us and are having a gas in the meantime.

My area had the red sun as well. And it looked like dusk around 3PM. Sky still has an orange tone but it's lighter now. Looks like quite a bit of England had it: BBC News. The pic of the sun from Oldland Common looks like what I saw from my lounge window earlier.

 

In the south things are brightening up and looking less apocalypse-y.

 

Your prayers seem to have worked. Well, they have for my area at least. The sun is back to a healthy, normal glow here.

All praise the blessed Ra!

 

Still orange-ish clouds in my area. Wind is picking up a bit though.

 

Yeah, slowly looking more normal here too. At one point it looked like we swapped skies with Venus.

 

Gotten worse here. The sun is no more and clouds are even more red.

I might need to pray to Mayan gods now.

 

Luckily without the heat of Venus.. Sun is shining a bit now here (right before it sets behind the houses in the back of my flat). Looks more normal.

 

The nukes will be launched tomorrow. This is an omen.

Ra is still annoyed with us in Kent, but it isn't bad.

You can actually taste it in your mouth :S

 

Seemed OK in my area - cloudy, but they looked like regular clouds. Had a couple of rain spits as well.

Ra shines on us today after almost 48 hours of torrential downpour. Good, coz I'm soooo sick of severe weather and its consequences at this point.

It's one of those nights where the darkness and the always lingering sense of despair are doing everything in their power to not let me rest, when part of me wants to shut my eyes and all other senses to not think how things are still so far from being "ok", and how long it'll take the island to be "ok", if it ever does again. My wife lays beside me. She let sleep overtake her very early on, just tired of another day just like the last 30 days. I hope she sleeps soundly through the night. I'll be happy if at least one of us does.
