Obama joined his church in 1991 or 1992 according to this interview. (This was also around the same time he was asking Michelle, who was Christian, about the waters of her homeworld, and they got married in that church in 1992, which is probably way more influential on the finding religion process.) He wasn't elected to the Illinois state Senate until four years after that.

 

Are you saying God helped him select his wife? If so then I agree with this point.

 

Um, no. I'm saying a lot of people join churches or adjust their religious views based on their partner's religious views, especially in contemplation of marriage.

You said you wanted to be honorable. You nominated Cosby, who is unquestionably the person most worthy of condemnation on this whole list, and by that nomination did more to derail the plot against Margaery than any single person. Then, by pointing out Nekhbet's typos, you ruined a whole round of votes, forcing her to abandon the pretense of user input and even further illegitimize this sordid project. I am in your debt.
