Was it stated that it was leather or just implicated?

Lose fitting leather should not be so much of a problem, just as long as you don't live in a to hot and/or wet environment

If a serious post, then, no, it wasn't because this happened years before he even met Mirax.

Well, Disney´s John Carter was rather different from the source material... Burroughs had equality though, both men and women barely wear anything.

Those were the years... several martian women were supposed to be rather badass, but seldom showed it. Even Carter´s daughter and granddaughter, who should have inherited his physical prowess, were there just to be rescued. Tarzan has it a bit better, they have to be saved but at least seem to be more resourceful. Meriem could survive in the jungle alone at least.

Quoting this because you can never have too many images of Cade...

I actually think it is unfair to say that only women are sexualized in Star Wars. I think it is easier for people to see a woman supposedly being sexualized but I don't think showing some skin is actually sexualizing someone. The comics are the biggest offenders of sexualizing women and I get why they do it. The majority of comic buyers are males and they're appealing to their audience. But they're also not drawing ugly male characters. Draco was also drawn to be attractive in Legacy and had his fair share of fangirls.

Even if you go as far back as the X-wing comics, the ones written as playboys were Wes Janson and Hobbie Klivian. That is more sexualizing a character to me than say just having someone wear an outfit.

Yep, It happened when he was at Corsec. She was part of an officer exchange program. He got involved in a bet about asking her to on a Date to a CorSec function and one thing lead to another. His "stirrings" in a previous post I believe refer to the female villain from I, Jedi Leona Tavira and lets face it even married men look and recact biological to pretty women who are not there wife. He did not act on it even though it would have actually helped his cover identity in that book to do so.

So who is your drooling material in SW?

Now we just need him in some Barsoom clothes, and some jedi robes, and some torn jedi robes...

A society's literature is a reflection of the society. So if the literature has become more sexualized, then that means society has as well. We live in a time when 50 Shades of Grey is a top seller, so it should come as no surprise that sexuality has leaked into SW as well.

That being said, what has come up in SW is pretty tame compared to a lot other things. Hell, Star Trek would be considered phonographic next to the EU!

Interesting thing about that middle picture: that's not necessarily a female Bothan Janson is snuggling...

I thought the "Vader pants" mention already gave away where my interests lie?

Also: Men in uniform. Just men in uniform.
