The NorCal Pirate fest is fun - and free to get in.

Been going for the last couple of years and it's pretty cool, especially when they fire the cannons across the water at the pirate ship.

Baycon is coming up during the Memorial Day weekend. http://baycon.org/2010/

Though I haven't attended in years, I'm leaning about attending on Saturday and Sunday

Meanwhile a few miles away FanimeCon is also taking place that same weekend. If you're into anime, this is a great con to go to. http://www.fanime.com/

Wish I could attend BayCon this year. I have plans with my family. Maybe next year.

    Dear Santa Clara,

I will attend your Baycon if you promise not to steal my football team.

Hey, all, I can get discount tickets to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo thru my work. Everyone pays the kid's price of $29.99 + taxes. Let me know if anyone is interested in setting up a group tour. The coupons expire 1/3/11.

In your boots? Good luck. The hills are murder after already walking a couple of miles. That's why the GGG switched from their TK boots to tennis shoes from one year to the next when we did it.

I'm not going to do the entire thing. It goes by my house. Besides my feet have done their fair share of running uphill in boots. Maybe some day I'll do the whole thing, but definitely not this year.

Bay to Breakers sounds like fun, but I've never made it up there to see it.

Hope you have a good time!

There have been several good ideas posted, but it occurs me that we need a way to follow up on them. What would work best? Should people chime in here if they are interested, and then we could start a separate thread for the activity?

That sounds funny, but July 8th is cutting it close to a camping trip with my family.
