Okay, sounds good. I can bring deviled eggs and those gooey, chocolate caramel brownies Erick loved so much at the Christmas party in Hayward. :)

And Adam is coming along, too!

Since I haven't been to either one, I'm voting for Junipero Serra park! :D

Ice chests are expensive. Rather than expecting one person to purchase another ice chest shouldn't we get a round of hands on who owns large ice chests and ask if they can bring an extra one full of ice? For example, I own one. I can bring it filled with ice - but the problem is I can't stay all day and would need to pack it back up when I leave around 2:30 or so.

Voting I think Crissy Field looks nice, but I am going to be selfish and vote for something closer to home this time. I vote for JUNIPERO SERRA. Whatever you all decide on is fine with me though. I won't be able to stay the entire day at the picnic either.

Ice chest? What ever happened to just filling up an old washtub with ice?

Just a suggestion, but I think we would get a better response if people also knew that the picnic is also the next club meeting.

Has anyone ever tried calzones? They are breathtaking.

What, you ain't gonna throw down with some deadly rap?

I say Juniperro. The combination of SF and the Marina is a roll of the dice.

OH, I am not doing ribs or chicken. I don't have the time or money to do it. If anybody else wants to do it, I'll give them the recipe.

Looks like I'll be missing the picnic. I'm here in WI on vacation having a great time though. I got to meet some of the local 501st/RL members here on one of their troops. However, there's nothing quite like a Wiconsin cookout ;)

My vote would be for Junipero Serra just because the sceanery looks better. Hey Robert, I'll chip in if you get some pork buns.

I agree, the scenery at Juniper looks much prettier. It gets my vote too. As for choosing between the two pictures, that's a little harder since they both look nice. I could go for either one.

How much food should we be bringing? Do we have a rough idea on headcount? I can bring some burgers.

I think everyone should bring enough food for about 12-20 people.

That works too, and I was almost going to mention that. Either way any sort of extra plastic tub is just an extra expense so I thought it would be better for a show of hands on who already had ice containers (filled with ice) to bring :)

I guess I'll bring drinks again, since Alison has burgers covered. Here is what I plan to bring. If people have something else they want for their personal stash, I'd say just bring it yourself. (For example, I kind of don't want to provide alcohol because if someone drinks and drives I don't want to be responsible).

    - bottled water
    - Diet Coke (lots more than last time since this vanished in minutes)
    - Coke
    - Diet 7-up
    - Regular 7-up
    - Hawaiian Punch

So if Matt has an extra tub of Ice he can bring that would be good, since I'll probably be packing up early.

I agree. Matt - I think you should contact Rachel (Miana Kenobi) and have her edit the title of this thread to read something like "Fan Force Monthly Meeting - Picinc August 19th"

Will do, Kathy. I'll bring ice in my ice chest as well.

I can bring an ice chest, too, and a six-pack of diet Dr. Pepper. :D

Depending on how much it costs to fix the darn brakes (I was quoted $185 per axle, if they don't have to replace the rotors, which are $65 each), I can bring ribs or chicken. Let me know.

Harlock, give me your recipe, please!
