Tomorrow at 1pm is when they'll be posting the rest of the media guest list on their website. I'm eager to see who else (other than Shatner & Nimoy) will be guesting.

Considering how I found out that Carrie Fisher is going to be there, I'm in the process of trying to at least get a day off(hopefully the Saturday) to attend.

I was quite surprised when I noticed her on the guest list on the website, though.

Sweet! We are all booked in for Fan Expo! This will be my first one. As part of the 501st, I think we are going out to eat after the show. Can anyone suggest good restraunts, or things to do when the show closes at night?

If you're going to attempt dining out after SFX, be sure to make a reservation or pick a restaurant that is not within the immediate vicinity of the con. Last year, HobbyStar neglected to inform local businesses of the planned event (let alone of the hungry crowds that would result) and we restaurant hopped through the rain for an hour before finding one that had sufficient food for four people. A number of restauarnts had simply run out of stock in their efforts to nourish the ravenous swarm, having no advanced warning.

Fisher's really starting to warm-up to the Con circuit

    My 'Craziest-thing-I've-done-for-Star-Wars' Story:

I, and 4 others did line-shifts at C2 in Indy (Sat, May 4th,'02) for Carrie Fisher. (we lined-up) 9:30am (in the morn') 'till (we entered her greet room) 5:15pm (in the evening). Must have been 7-8,000 ppl in her line for the entire day.

She signed all day long (w/ many cigarette breaks periodically of course)

Certainly the lines (for her) won't be that bad (at '06 Fan Xpo) but you never do know?

She is awesome (witty as hell and very personable) and had one hell of a big-mound of candy on the table beside her (to help make it through the day I'm sure)

I will be going, but I'm pissed about the Shatner/Nemoy price tag... ridiculous! How do people justify spending that much money to see two people? I just wanted to go the Q&A, no way in hell I'm going to pay for that. I wouldn't pay that much to see George Lucas!

Yeah, we decided (for the first time in many years) not to opt for the "Gold" or "Silver" tickets and just go with regular admission. Although I have stuff that would have been nice to get Shatner and Nimoy to sign, I've seen them before and would rather spend the money elsewhere this time.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the con!

for me its all about Mini-Me, Verne Troyer who I have been informed by sources I cant reveal at this time will be meeting a certain Fan who is also Bald and bears a striking resemblence to a movie villian, this will take place at SFX if all goes well. Did I mentioned I shaved my head on Sunday.

This will be my first trip up to SFX, so can anyone here give me an idea of how many of the celebrities charge for autographs? I'm mostly looking for Carrie, Morena, and Paul McGillion. And since I'm going for just one day, should I go for the Basic or Delux Pass? Thanks everyone!

If you want to see the guest talks, I believe you will need the deluxe pass. The basic pass may only get you into the dealer's room and autograph area.

I'd pay for deluxe because that way you can go to the other events, because the exhibit hall does get boring after a while.

All of the media celebrities charge. And, it's getting more and more expensive. When I saw Morena and Paul McGillion last year at Dragon*Con I think they were at least $20-$25 a piece, but that did include the photo. Carrie will probably be at least $50.

Okay now what I want to know is are we doing some sort of special diner on saturday night or soemething?

I may not be able to stay late sunday evening this year and I wouldn't want to miss a wonderful supper with my fellow fans.

Plus if we're going to do this we might want to make a reservation asap.

Styrofoam guy, you're our only hope. ^_^
