I seem to remember the tactic of Force-guiding a missile used before SbS. But I'm not sure. Anyone else remember this, or am I again on spice ???

But I'm asking the title of the other book where that tactic was used (pre-NJO), if it exists, as I seem to remember.

I don't think so though. At least it wasn't made public to the other Jedi, they all seemed new to the idea in SbS.

 

Han, Jacen, and Leia used that technique in Rebirth I think. Although they didn't used the force, they used 3-PO! He hurled live missiles out the falcons cargobay at a Yuuzhan Vong interdictor ship. The YV didn't detect them, and when they detonated on the ships hull the falcon escaped.

Thats the only time I can remeber.

Luke used the technique to escape from Thrawn when they caught him im that Interdictor trap. I can't believe I had forgot that.

He used the force to direct a torpedo to destroy a cargo ship behind him so that the Star Destroyer would lose its Tractor lock!

 

thought he just fired the Torpedo?

 

Yeah it was live. He had to use the force to make it go straight backwards.
