Jason just showed me a rought cut! This is going to be great!
Sue's full name is Sue Dawe (Underwood), her husband is Michael Underwood.
When are we going to be able to see the rough cut? or are we going to just be able to see the teaser trailer at the april film fest?
I will have something done by the movie marathon. all i've got so far is a rough cut of the 2nd day of filming.
Love the site!!! A couple things about pics...we're out of space on the Yahoo Groups page, so I can't post them there, and James, how do I access your pics?
by the end of this week we will be able to post more pics right to the sdsws site... im working on a few things and the servers done getting its makeover... im waitng to hear from phil on the best time to call him....
Wasn't Linda in the film? I thought I saw her in her robes in the pics.
James: The kids have brown robes that are too big for them. All they need is a utility belt and BINGO! instant Jawa! I figure if they are shot from behind no one will know.
Jason, is that a free site you put up? I'm assuming so because the purple graphic on the top doesn't quite match the rest of the colors of the photos.
Also to the editors: I have an unregistered, older version of Adobe Premier I haven't used yet, anyone want to borrow it?
No I've got the newest version of Premiere, I've got all the software covered. I've emptied my wallet on software. At least student discounts have allowed me to afford it.
what codec are you gonna use? just curisous as to what you prefer
Sorenson 3 for Quicktime. It may not yield the best compression available, but it's the most widely used codec and the most compatible. All the fanfilms are in Sorenson 3 as well as movie trailers on Apple.com.
Here are some more pics:
Shadows in the Sand Poster 3:

Heheheh. Me too.
I really like the newest poster that just got posted a couple of days ago. It's my favorite so far
I like all the posters, they just keep getting better.somehow I don't think the creative process of some members has waned yet.We may yet see other posters.
Those posters are just teasers done by Jason. When the project gets further completed we'll release an official poster.
i wonder if mike davis can get us a poster as a POP display and have cutouts and everything...colt knows what i mean...i will discuss this at next meeting. Whomever is the secretary, please remember this if i forget. I would liek to see if Colt and I could start some sort of lightsaber training once a month or something for those interested. Just wondering.... Also if anyone knows of a place we can host the movie on a server or somethong, let me and donny know...
whats wrong with our server?
Lightsaber "training" sounds cool, but I don't know if there would be enough interest. If there is, I'm up for it!
ok, no hosting, we will keep it a surprise!
One way to find out interest, start a new thread and see! (off to do that)
but we'd need some practice shinai, you guys break polycarbonate blades too easily
no breaks here! oh, No parks against parks allowed
I have made these split bamboo/rattan practice blades of which you speak, Racer. Perhaps we could get together and produce our own? Certainly cheaper than replacing high-tech blades.
Does anyone have an estimate of when the movie will be downloadable from the web? I'm very anxious to see it.
I believe the current plan is to have the "official" release of the film at the Comic Con if possible. We will be having a "private" screening for those in the SD and IE groups before than. After the release at the Con, we're going to put it out on the web.
