I'm keen on reading this, but it's long out of print.
Anyone have a set of comics (or the hardcover comic compendium) that they are willing to sell / trade or even rent out?

If so, let me know & we'll work out a deal. :D

Or if anyone knows of a store in NZ selling them, please let me know.

See also: Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire - Evolution - wouldn't mind reading that comic too.

JP ... that's the series with Xizor, Dash Rendar etc. isn't it? I have all of them either at home or at my parents' place. You''re welcome to borrow them if you like. Let me just check where they are.

The weirdest Shadows thing I've got is the soundtrack. It's actually quite good, surprisingly enough. You can also put it in your computer, and it's got all this information about the history and marketing of the Shadows campaign.

Yea, it basically had everything a movie has, except the movie.
Video game, book, audio book, soundtrack, 'encyclopedia' style spin off novels ... I'm sure it was quite a cash cow in its day.

The soundtrack was written by Joel McNeeley, who had done work for Lucasfilm on the young Indy chronicles. I believe a lot of the music was used in the video game, too.

Official JC thread on the Shadows soundtrack

I seem to recall reading that it wasn't very successful ... basically it confused the casual punter because it was not long after Lucasfilm announced that there were going to be three new SW films. Then, suddenly there's all this stuff in stores with "Shadfow Of The mpire" on it, and people thought _that_ was the new film.
