Club Jade spotted a listing for William Shakespeare's The Phantom Menace on Random House's website, suggesting that the popular adaptation series is continuing into the prequel films.

The book will go on sale on April 7, 2015. It can be pre-ordered now for $14.95.

I have yet to read the most recent one but this will be on my list. The title doesn't sound very 'Shakespeare' though.

"The Phantom Menaceth" would have been a little corny, I suppose.

Well, can't say that's a terrible surprise. Hopefully they will change it.

Say: The Menace of the Phantom? or something like that?

"Anakin & Padme" (As opposed to Romeo & Juliet, Antony & Cleopatra, and various other tragic pairings)?

Honestly, the prequels will benefit from the Shakespearean treatment far more than the OT, since the overall plot is basically a classic Tragedy anyway, and the dialogue can only be improved.

I was really disappointed that the ROTJ one didn't end with Luke saying "I come not to praise Vader, but to burn him."
