FF:QLD Shall we do something for Australia Day?

I'm not working this weekend, so I'd really enjoy a little low-key get-together. Nothing fancy in mind, just think it would be fun to share some drinks, food and conversation with you nice folk. Ideas?

 

I'd be up for something, for sure. I'm stumped for ideas though. I'm sure a few ideas will be conjured before the weekend, it being only Tuesday and all.

 

It doesn't feel like Tuesday though...

I'd be up for something too. I've publically declared that I want to make a fort out of Guinness Cans, so that's my only firm plan really.

Well, I personally want to be spectator to the creation of the fort of guinness cans.

It should be noted that we do still have two movie-viewing related events that are pending in the War Room - if we wanted to take one or both of those and make it more Australia Day-ish?

 

Yeah, a group movie viewing is always fun. Lounge around all day drinking and watching DVDs. I could definitely go that.

 

I have a specialist appointment in the morn, and plan on doing a bit of shopping afterwards (eeep I hate underwear shopping ) But I'd be able to make it after that. Matt should too, as he's not working

 

Need to see fireworks from somewhere! Day of drinking and movie watching feels very Australian to me.

 

I'm busy on Australia Day, but I should be free on the Monday (Which is a public holiday, I believe)

 

Monday is a public holiday, but I'm likely going to be busy that day. If everyone wants to do it Monday, I can switch things around, but I'd prefer a weekend fixture that lacks that pesky "gotta work in the morning" clause.

 

I'd love an afternoon trip to the beach on Saturday honestly. Something Aussie. Do want to see fireworks and feel Australian. Do we know anyone with a pool???

Although if we could watch dvd's whilst being in a pool.... nice.


Any plans?

 

Alright kids, are there any plans? All I know is I'm not getting out of bed before 10am. Had too many early Saturdays lately, and that just ain't natural. I'll expect some sort of rudimentary plan thought up by lunch time.

 

Since no plans have been made, I guess not. If anyone's doing anything tomorrow, let me know, I've got no plans.
