William Shatner -- Capt. Kirk from another great space saga, "Star Trek" -- offered a musical number "from one star voyager to another." He performed a variation of "My Way," telling Lucas "you did it your way" while dancers in "Star Wars" stormtrooper costumes did a chorus line routine.

"Live long," Shatner told Lucas. "You've already prospered enough."

I've heard that "Has-Been", produced by Ben Folds was supposed to be pretty good. I've got Fear of Pop Vol 1, and there are a couple of tracks where Shatner "sings" some of the backing tracks. Pretty funny! [face_laugh]

I am pleased to see so many of you recognise the SHEER BRILIANCE of Mr Shatner, and especially his singing talents. Even more impressed to see a Rocketman reference...I'm a ROCK-IT maaaaaaan. :) :) :)

Has Been is a fantastic album, and very much recommended - poignant in places, witty, easy to listen to and occasionally down-right potty! Get it!

One small bit of promotion here, but if you are a huge Shatner fan, or even if you think the man's a loon, you'll find something over at the Fellowship of the Shat United Kingdom cult. The link is in my sig!! Peace out to all the Shat fans!!
