If Shara dies on the mission with Luke, I wonder if Poe is going to hold a grudge against Luke in the ST? Just a quick thought, I've no idea what's going on in TFA since I'm avoiding leaks and rumors like fire.

 

So, this series is called "Shattered Empire" when it really is "the Damerons take the OT main character tour of the post-RotJ galaxy". Used less Han, Leia and Luke this comic could have.

 

Look HttJ was one time, OK? This is the new EU, that is Luke 'No Longer More Deadly to Female Characters Than James Bond' Skywalker!

And it's Rucka - he ain't known for slaughtering characters.

I could be wrong, but I hope not.

 

It's less "Luke kills people" than fear of the Retirony trope.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm preparing for the worst. Because Star Wars is awful.

At this point, the surprise would be one of them doesn't die. With the fake-out of making us think we were seeing Poe's conception, I tend to hope Rucka and his team would be aware how strongly this falls into forecasting the trope, and then will be throwing something unexpected at us. I'll like to find out that everything is being forecast in this way so we assume we know how it ends. But maybe it will be "And the three Damerons lived happilly in retirement for the next 20 or so years, until NEW REPUBLIC: BLOODLINE where Kes and Shara BITE IT."

 

Also Abednedo being both a species and a location.

I am hoping to be shocked and see Bey live. She has been foreshadowed to die so much, and I am at the edge of my seat, but I want her to live more then anything.

I still see her dying though.

Which is okay. She has been a mediocre character at best, and I am more excited to see Luke or Kes.

 

At the very least a member of his race.

On the other hand: now I want the stories of Kes and Shara during the rest of the war, because it seems odd these rando new characters are apparently everyone's favorites.

What does Luke need to get on Vetine? I need to know these things. It's important.
